Youku Schedules December 27th Premiere for Xianxia Romance C-drama The Unclouded Soul with Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao
So I think this will be the last big C-drama release for 2025, arriving just after Christmas and in time for a New Year’s holiday break binge. Youku has confirmed the release of xianxia romance C-drama The Unclouded Soul (逍遥 Xiao Yao) starring Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao for December 27th which is this coming weekend. Tan Song Yun once again plays a plucky girl like nearly all her previous roles and Hou Ming Hao once again plays a demon who seems dangerous but is really just a softy inside, like his last two roles Love in the Clouds and Fangs of Fortune, so double lol here. All teasing side the basis for all xianxia dramas are the same elements in different combos and the good ones deliver on execution and chemistry so let’s see how The Unclouded Soul can create something fun to watch.

Definitely not the last big C-dramas scheduled for release this month. If you meant costume dramas then yes.
Release after release but HMH still hasn’t had his big break so far.
He’s not tired playing the same role, same styling, same themes and same act all over again. It’s so hopeless. Well, i will not watch. I also think his agency is still waiting for him to finally land a big sucess.
He is simply not star material. Another drama that will aim for a flat broadcast and call it a success.
I feel that his role in the ensemble cast of I Am Nobody is memorable and definitely star material.
Love Tan Song Yun, so looking forward to this.
Hou Ming Hao is a dependable idol actor. He doesn’t quite impress, but he gets the job done without detracting or distracting. I also have a soft spot for him due to his I Am Nobody role too.
Are they riding a Dune worm? 😆
Interestingly I like both leads but haven’t been able to finish ANY of their dramas so far. I don’t even register the names of those dramas in my head. They must have been pretty forgettable. lol.
He doesn’t know how to take abreak huh… goodness. Such a workaholic. I hope he is not passed out anytime soon

I’m honestly excited for this drama. I enjoy most of TSY’s dramas even if they have similar roles for her, she does it well. I love HMH, especially Love in the Clouds and Dashing Youth. I hope I can enjoy this one. The first ep had good flow and the actors and costumes looks good too 🙂
Honestly, the actor needs a break I’m concerned as his fan, however I’m looking forward to this drama and have been waiting for a year as it includes my 2 favorite actors+actress.
Tan Song Yun’s expressions are cute but I wish she was dubbed she squakes like one of those toy yellow rubber chickens.
Finished ep 5, story wise it’s typical recycled xianxia not much happens it also has Fox Flopmaker vibes evil tree and all doesn’t bode well.
Wang Duo looks good in his costume he also sounds good and has decent air time so far so will stick to it for a few more episodes.
