First Teaser for Hunan TV C-drama Love For You with Zhang Jing Yi and Song Wei Long Brings Gritty Fauxcest Romance
So this drama looks like Speed and Love except both leads are down and gritty, and the female lead doesn’t seem dumb as bricks. Win and win already on the set up lol. Modern romance C-drama Love For You (Chinese title 野狗骨头 Ye Gou Gu Tou meaning Wild Dog Bones) adapted from a novel is getting more interest now on the heels of male lead Song Wei Long recently having a drama do well with Shine on Me. He’s paired up with Zhang Jing Yi for what seems to be two street kids who grew up together kinda rough and tumble but she succeeds while he’s still a hoodlum and they clearly fall for each other despite the “sibling” type relationship they had as kids. Zhang Jing Yi excels on looking serious and it’s nice seeing Song Wei Long doing a 180 from his chaebol heir perfect doctor role in SoY here being the guy with a rap sheet but still a marshmallow core for his girl.

Lol, here I was thinking S&L will be much more interesting if we have SWL bad boy vibes, didn’t expect this whimsical thought to come true so soon. But ZJY is such a wet blanket I can’t be excited about this pairing.
This looks like it will be a bit said and stressful to watch. You know there will be some obnoxious characters in their life you want to take out before the drama ends. This is the kind of drama I have to wait till it ends and then watch at my own pace.
Not a fan at all of ZJY, she always seems to have the same dead expression no matter the scene. I gather she can’t “eye” act (or at least IMO she can’t). SWL usually does a decent job, but not sure if I will watch as I’m perpetually disappointed in ZJY.
I agree her acting is very very dry. It doesn’t work well with comedy or romance dramas. She might better with a thriller or court room drama. Even then though I”m not a big fan of hers.
Exactly.Her acting is very stiff and like a dead fish her eyes cant express emotions at all. Her company? or management should try put her in more serious dramas where she can show her talent if she has some..

Sorry Jing Yi, I can’t see myself tuning into this drama with SWL’s bad acting.
If anyone wants to watch new modern romance cdramas, I highly recommend Chen Xingxu and Lu Yuxiao’s Love Between Lines. That drama feels in line with modern times and its poisonous mushroom hallucination plot is fresh and fun.
I agree with you 👍🏻So far it has been an easygoing fun drama. Everyone should check it out. It has been awhile since I have seen a drama I look forward to.
It’s a pity the drama doesn’t get as much marketing.
I hate siblings trope like why… couldn’t you do something else to make them close. Sighs
