I feel like this role and project for Kim Ji Won feels cathartic maybe, like she’s purposely going as far away from her last role in Queen of Tears as possible. In the upcoming SBS medical K-drama Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia, the drama is adapted from a J-dorama and deals with an unconventional IDGAF type female lead surgeon as she saves lives while challenging the medical field. Kim Ji Won has done this tough girl role before but when she was younger and seemed to be trying to act tough, but in the promos for Doctor X she actually conveys the inner grit and outer bitchiness. I love it!
