Lee Jong Seok and Lee Joon Hyuk Accept K-drama Leads in Shared Universe Romance K-dramas Adapted From Web Novels
Haha, I’m so open to whatevers that when I first glanced at the article headers I legit thought these two were playing male leads in a drama where they were the OTP, and may even be cousins to boot! And I was like “shrug, K-dramas are getting way more edgy lol.” But it’s not that envelope pushing just let though I do love the casting. K-ent is saying that Lee Jong Seok and Lee Joon Hyuk have been cast as male leads in their own K-dramas, which just happen to share the same narrative universe so there will be overlaps. It’s from two web novels by the same author centering around heirs of chaebol TK Group and the love stories, the two actors will each play cousins and have their own romances but with the overarching universe of the group. Two of my fave actors as cousins, done and done!
Yay to lee joon hyuk getting more lead roles. No thanks to LJS. Can never stand his botched ps face, also he looks nothing like the main character in the book.
Agree! The bad nose job and upturned lip corners on LJS is very distracting. Are Koreans blind? Not all ps is good ps.

the drawings of yiseob in the manhwa is next level. i am 50/50 for LJS
I haven’t read the manhwa, but based on the photos I’ve seen, the character looks like a beautiful man that’s pretty but still has a manly and sexy aura. Lee Jong Suk is quite pretty if you look past his very artificial-looking nose, but not sure if he’s the right kind of sexy-pretty for that role
the skill from the artist on the manhwa is unmatched, it makes the characters so attractive and adorable/endearing. I read it mainly to awe at the illustrations alone, otherwise, the story is quite typical–chaebol and poor girl/secretary love story which is dime a dozen on Webtoon.
Recently kdramas have gotten interesting with their concepts. This kind of multiverse has never been done before. There’s clearly a trend of sexy webtoon adaptations and extravagant settings. I’m excited to see how both dramas turn out. Any guesses for the female leads?

LJS is a no no for me. I didnt quite connect with his performance in a drama. We’ll see once it’s airing.
