This drama was apparently in talks with C-actor Ding Yu Xi before his just aired popular drama Love Game in Eastern Fantasy but now there is more attention on it. The C-drama adaptation of the novel The South Bureau (Southern Case Files 南部档案) will start filming next month as a dual male lead series with Ding Yu Xi partnering up with Zhang Xin Cheng. The novel is part of the popular The Grave Robbers’ Chronicles (盗墓笔记) so there is built in name recognition and fandom. Fans of both actors are already discussing billing order so hopefully the production just goes with same billing and stop this nonsense before it starts.

I recently just finish watching “You Are My Lover Friend “, I really enjoyed it. It is a no fuss, no dramatic storyline and heartwarming storyline.
Zhang Xin Cheng makes his character believable and natural.
As a new Ding Yuxi fan, I’m more than okay with equal billings…both are very talented but criminally underrated (LGIEF success may change that though)
