The back-and-forth with the casting of period C-drama Transfer Gold Hairpin (Jia Jin Chai 嫁金钗) is over as Youku confirmed the drama and female lead this week. It will be Tian Xi Wei in her first big budget top billed female lead-centric drama, and the male lead is reportedly going to be rising singer turned actor Yan An. He got a noticed role in the ensemble visual cast in Fangs of Fortune earlier this year. Tian Xi Wei’s playing a dual role, a rich lady and the poor girl who has the same face so enters an arranged marriage on her behalf. Filming will start early next year as Tian Xi Wei will roll into this project after finishing modern drama Genius Girlfriend with Hu Yi Tian.
