C-ent Casting Rumor Says Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui are Reuniting for the Third Time in Modern Romance C-drama Kiss in the Wind
No. Just no. I need these two to individually and together take a time out. You know when a teacher tells an overeager student to sit in the corner and just read quietly, it’s feeling like that talk needs to go out to Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui. This week the C-ent casting rumor is saying, and with great certainty with this rumor I might add, that the two will reunite for the THIRD TIME for modern romance C-drama Kiss in the Wind (Deng Re Feng Wen Ni 等风热吻你). This project has been with Meng Zi Yi for some time and the list of potential male leads in talks went from Zhang Ling He to Deng Wei to now Li Yun Rui yet again. I know Blossom unexpectedly did well but it was no blockbuster so what is with production companies thinking the world wants these two to keep working together?!?! And in such a short time span as well. Consider me over them, though I wasn’t even into them either haha.
So it seems for them to be relevant in the industry they just need to pairup together everywhere but unfortunately bloosom was watchable just because of plot,i don’t see any great performance being delivered by the main actors like it was supposed to be. Better script cool characters plot, Tons of Slowmo fight scene with lots of slow motion poses most were like gaming intro poses,special eye popping staring only in every emotions by our female lead with same repetitive douyin makeup that we see in her every period & xianxia dramas that sometimes people get confused that they are from different dramas when we see her roles portfolio together.
In variety show, award show, events they are promoting cp, in every new project they are doing collabs.I must admit after being in the contovery many times and being in the sideline they are using their fluke success however they can, if not solo then with eachother.
Liyunrui is so overated, the character in blossom gave him bit aura or else in other dramas he is same as a wood. Meng ziyi was not good sibger but still got to sing in national holiday platform, only praised for beauty intially but later seems to have froze her whole face that we can only see eye popping as a emotion with pout. How is she even getting cast in dramas as main lead, there are better side character actors acting than her. Her variety show persona is so on point of imitation from korean variety show xman guests.
It seems the platform are giving their all to make them A-list actors in the eye of audience.
Like give deserving serious actors the opportunity and also give LY and MZ opportunity to shine as side characters because they can’t carry dramas atp they are wasting great novels adaptation .
