This drama is on deck to start filming in Q1 2027 but it’s one of the few big budget productions being prepped right now so worth covering. The female lead for Hunan TV period drama Have It All will be Meng Zi Yi, she’s been confirmed and announced since a few months now. The male lead is now almost certainly … Continue reading →
I’m so going to have to hold my nose to go into this drama, because I loved the novel so much and adore male lead Dylan Wang but have such an aversion to female lead Meng Zi Yi. So two loves and one no love reason still tips the scales in favor of checking this out. The first look at … Continue reading →
So I am still catching up on dramas so don’t have any actual first impressions on either of these C-dramas but it’s good to share the news that C-ent has dropped two more dramas for those in a mid-summer slump looking for something up your alley. This past week Tencent premiered Blossoms of Power with Meng Zi Yi and He … Continue reading →
The number of dramas that Meng Zi Yi has been in talks for or cast in since she leveled up with Blossom is just insane, and for me it’s annoying since I don’t like her as an actress but now have to see her everywhere. She’s currently filming the drama adaptation of The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military … Continue reading →
No. Just no. I need these two to individually and together take a time out. You know when a teacher tells an overeager student to sit in the corner and just read quietly, it’s feeling like that talk needs to go out to Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui. This week the C-ent casting rumor is saying, and with … Continue reading →
In the roulette of C-drama casting there seems like infinite lead pairings and yet it’s always the same dozen or so names making for a more finite set of combos. Meng Zi Yi has already lined up her next drama once she finishes filming The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage with Dylan Wang. She’s been confirmed for … Continue reading →
The brouhaha over Zhang Ling He looking too pretty and made up as the General in C-drama Pursuit of Jade reminded me that another pretty boy is currently filming as a General as well for his upcoming period C-drama. So I went to check in on my homie Dylan Wang in the production of The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress … Continue reading →
So it’s off to the races for the production of the C-drama adaptation of Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage. Filming has commenced on the Tencent produced C-drama this week, right after the lunar new year as previously expected. Leads Dylan Wang as Xie Jing Xing and Meng Zi Yi as Shen Miao were also as previously expected … Continue reading →
All the recent talk that Meng Zi Yi is likely miscast as the female lead of the drama adaptation of Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage doesn’t mean she’s a bad actress or that roles don’t suit that. I also think she’s not right at all for Shen Miao in that story but her next drama slated to … Continue reading →
I do like reunions of leads from hit dramas but these two Meng Zi Yi and Li Yun Rui I have no feels about since I didn’t watch Blossom and neither ever appealed to me strongly before. But they are indeed hot thanks to that drama and this reunion in the period drama Tigers Sniff the Rose is getting more … Continue reading →
So this potential big budget hit or big budget trainwreck is close to launching with the actual date now rumored for the start of filming. Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage is slated for February 20th, just two weeks away and a mere four days after lunar new year so no long holiday break for the cast and … Continue reading →
So it’s now countdown time to the start of filming for the revenge and romance period C-drama adapted from the novel The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage. The leads will indeed be Dylan Wang and Meng Zi Yi, and they will share equal top billing for their roles. The fandom fights did not derail either of their … Continue reading →
I wrote last week that the drama adaptation of period romance and revenge C-novel The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage was still going to star rumored most recent leads Dylan Wang and Meng Zi Yi. Despite both their fandoms disliking the other star cast, the production isn’t swayed and still wants them. But one of the sticking … Continue reading →
