jTBC Schedules Jung Yong Hwa and Lee Yeon Hee Pre-filmed in France Drama The Package for October 2017
When I first heard of the upcoming jTBC drama The Package it didn’t raise any eyebrows on the title but now with the KBS drama Manhole I can’t help sniggering over the possibility of The Package encountering the Manhole. All juvenile jokes aside, The Package was pre-filmed overseas in France on an extensive location shoot that plays central to the entire drama narrative and even the drama title. The Package refers to a tour package, with Lee Yeon Hee playing a Korean tour guide in France who takes a group of South Korean tourists on a package tour, including male lead Jung Yong Hwa who is traveling after a recent breakup. The supporting cast will be all characters on the same package tour and their stories will all intertwine as the 12-episode drama showcases love and personal growth against the backdrop of picturesque France. The Package has just confirmed an airing date for this October on the Fri-Sat time slot after Age of Youth 2, which takes over soon when Woman of Dignity finishes its ratings breaking run.

I still can go with LYH, she’s super pretty and serviceable but JYH, Oh Jesus! this dude is just so AWKWARD. no hate, seriously but he’s so unnatural front of camera.
I cringed so hard when I saw the trailer. Jung Yong Hwa is so bad at acting (I can give him points for being good looking and having that old time charm) and I won’t even go into Lee Yeon Hee’s acting. Furthermore, when that song by A Great Big World was playing, I cringed even harder because their acting didn’t match the atmosphere at all. Were they supposed to be lovers that were separating in one way or another? Idk I couldn’t see it because of their lackluster acting. On the other hand, it’s great that they put two terrible actors as leads instead of a ‘good actor + hopeless actor, because those kinds of pairings are like a great wasted opportunity.
Both are awkward actors.
I loved her in Miss Korea! So happy to see her in a new drama again.
I don’t think that is San Maru in the 2nd trailer. JYH looks like Park Se Joo in Marry Him If You Dare. Think someone took snippets from old drama when JYH wore ear studs and had that snaggletooth and strung them up here. He no longer had them since his 2015 solo album.
For people saying that the acting is awkward… THE SECOND VIDEO/TRAILER IS FAN MADE taking scenes from other dramas/commercial lol
Thank you, thank you for pointing that out. LOL!! For a moment I thought, ghee, her styling here is carbon copy of that in Miss Korea, and certain scenes look eerily familiar.
Doesn’t change my stance on their acting. Both are awkward af.
I finally finished The Package, thanks in part to a 3-day break from work. Its a beautiful drama: the scenery, the stories, and yes, even the acting. The entire cast was amazing. I’m not a Jung Yong Hwa or Lee Yeon Hee fan, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much they have inhabited their characters. Yeon Hee is such a beautiful girl and Yong Hwa is so lovable here. I didn’t expect him to be funny at all. If only for that hilarious ‘chastity belt’ scene, people should really give this a chance. A nod to the writer and the 2 PDs.
