Well finally I get a good set of drama posters! Most K-drama posters these days are just uninspiring and the most I can get from some are the leads look good together. But the creative juices are so low on energy that most stuff looked dialed in. So it’s an extra treat to see the newly released drama posters for … Continue reading →
This was one of the weirdest drama shelvings I’ve witnessed in my long drama watching life. Resident Playbook (Wise Resident Life) the follow up to the hit Hospital Playlist drama (season 1 and 2) was filmed in 2023 was supposed to air in 2024 as a high profile drama on tvN. Then in early 2024 the real life doctors in … Continue reading →
I know tvN space themed romance K-drama When the Stars Gossip won’t arrive until January 4th but we’re heading into the thick of the holidays crunch with Christmas and then New Year so it will feel like another blink of an eye and it’s here. I feel like this drama isn’t as buzzy in the pre-release period as I thought … Continue reading →
I know what my New Year’s present is going to be, it’s totally SBS drama Love Scout which premieres on January 3rd in the Fri-Sat time slot. I’m so grateful that the network produced a classic feels romance with same age adult leads of compatible visuals and strong acting skills in Han Ji Min and Lee Joon Hyuk. The posters … Continue reading →
So there is a whole new set of characters other than returning male lead Lee Jung Jae playing the game in Squid Game 2, obviously cuz everyone else died in the first season lol. The most attention has been on Park Sung Hoon starting from that longish bob wig and then now the reveal that his character is a transgender … Continue reading →
I must’ve been under a rock the day that the first casting news came out because this second news only made me do not one but two double takes in quick succession. K-ent is reporting today that Lee Jong Seok has been offered the male lead Prince Heinrey (later Emperor) in period romance K-drama Remarried Empress, where Shin Mina is … Continue reading →
Alrighty, it’s December and we’re less than one month away from the arrival of When the Stars Gossip (Ask the Stars), that humongous budget and cast K-dramas with leads Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin. It’s been finished almost two years in filming and post-production so the lead up has been long and hopefully it hasn’t dimmed the anticipation. … Continue reading →

Everyone not President Yoon collectively lost their shit and went to protest … Continue reading →
So last weekend was the premiere of The Trunk on Netflix, the last big premiere before the behemoth Squid Game 2 arrives end of the month at Christmas time. Starring Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin and adapted from the same name novel, the drama puts powerhouse A-list leads with a much more subdued and slow burn story. The reviews … Continue reading →
What’s with back-to-back great K-drama cast news in the last day! Yoona and Park Sung Hoon are going to star in the time-travel romance tvN K-drama A Tyrant’s Chef. Well, we’ve been lamenting the lack of big name castings in K-dramas and now we have a big shocker that I legit never ever thought about before. IU and Byun Woo Seok are confirmed to star in a MBC drama scheduled for mid 2025 titled 21st Century Prince’s Wife. It’s basically The King: Eternal Monarch but without the parallel worlds … Continue reading →
Man, talk about the production of Lovely Runner continuing to praise one lead or criticize the other. Months ago the PD of the drama was criticized for saying that he needed Kim Hye Yoon to improve her looks and visuals for the drama, calling it “tough love” so she could be seen as the best version of herself onscreen and … Continue reading →
Whether it’s the zeitgeist moment passing or the new story simply isn’t as interesting, SBS was hoping for another hit with The Fiery Priest 2 and unfortunately it won’t be happening. The new season has aired 7-episodes so far and ratings remain steady between high 10% to 12% range. The original was up to 15% and more and ended with … Continue reading →
