Part II of the Mary Stayed Out All Night OST will be released on December 27th, including all the songs we’ve heard recently, such as “Hello, Hello” and “I Will Promise You”. Like the Part I OST, the CD will come with gorgeous picture cards, including scenes from the drama. I’m totally buying this baby! The last OST I bought before … Continue reading →
Sorry to have to do this to all the M3-fans, but I’ve got more bad news. The news is not that I’m jumping ship based on the screen cap above I chose to top this post. Nope, the bad news is that I will not be here to steer the Holiday Couple ship to its glorious and sweet conclusion next … Continue reading →
Now that all the songs have been released from the Mary Stayed Out All Night OSTs, I can safely say this is one of my favorite OSTs from any drama. It’s not terribly edgy or sophisticated, but the music is lovely to listen to and the songs have a touch of heart and warmth. Even the silly Bus song turns … Continue reading →
Those concert pictures yesterday really resurrected my flagging enthusiasm big time. Too bad the concert scene wasn’t in today’s episode 13 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!), but I am forever a patient Koala and will gird myself for the onslaught of Jang Geun Seok performing on stage as Kang Mu Gyul hotness in the upcoming episode. … Continue reading →
What is my definition of the word “drama”? I use to think it was synonymous with “shit that can never happen in real life.” There has been a concerted effort to make dramas more realistic, and I do love the trend. Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) was always a fantasy little romantic yarn, never mind that I … Continue reading →
[Edit: I’ve recapped the preview dialogue~] I’ll be back to translate the dialogue in a bit. Having a mini-drawgroup reunion with my girls (if anyone gets the reference, then I am definitely your Cardinal sunbae), so can’t do anything more right now other than provide the linky for the preview to episode 13 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry … Continue reading →
[Edit: I’ve embedded the fan videos of the band performing “Hello Hello” and “Take Care, My Bus”] I didn’t want to insert my perspective into everyone’s comments and speculations (you guys were having a party with the theories), but I was really positive that Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) wasn’t going to have anmesia, life-threatening injury, or anything of … Continue reading →
If you asked me who the Korean Barbie and Ken are, I would have asked you: (1) why does the world need a Korean version of Barbie and Ken, and (2) would anyone consider it an honor to be dubbed the Korean Barbie and Ken? Mattel, the makers of Barbie and Ken, hosted an event in Seoul a few days … Continue reading →
It’s the return of Dr. Min! Raise your hand if you got the reference? Jang Hyuk, after over a year of long, crazy, wild, and frou-frou hair, has finally cut off his mane of glory. The new do is likely in preparation for his upcoming drama Midas, co-starring Lee Min Jung.
Continue reading →Mary Stayed Out All Night fans in Korean rejoice! KBS’s official M3 website posted an announcement for an open shoot on December 19, 2010, at Hongdae. The production has done this a few times already, alerting fans to their shooting schedule. This will likely be the last open shoot day, since the drama is wrapping up in two weeks. If you live … Continue reading →
I’ve watched both episode 1 and 2 of Athena: Goddess of War. I was so distracted by a multitude of work and holiday stressors swirling around me that episode 1 pretty much went over my head. I was bored. Watching Jung Woo Sung! This is not acceptable. Episode 2 was slightly better, but only because they paraded my honey around … Continue reading →
How shall I put this? I read Javabeans’ recap for episode 12 of Mary Stayed Out All Night (Marry Me, Mary!) yesterday, and I was planning to contend with her assertion that the drama had lost its mind. I wasn’t planning to use empirical evidence, but merely note that comparatively, it wasn’t all that nonsensical. Yeah, today I’m forever … Continue reading →
I spent the better part of 2010 chanting “please let PIE‘s next project be a sageuk drama” over and over again. Apparently that works, guys! I suggest you start chanting your most fervent wishes, because mine just got granted. Chun Jung Myung aka PIE, is doing his first ever sageuk in early 2011, the switched-at-birth in the Joseon-era drama The Duo. Today … Continue reading →
