Well this is like more tea on top of the mountain of gossip already, so let’s get right to it. TW-actress Michelle Chen and C-actor Chen Xiao have been married for 8 years since 2016 after meeting on the set of the Yu Zheng abomination of the Return of the Condor Heroes and falling in love. There have been frequent rumors of their impending divorce since their marriage, even heated up more after they had a son together. Last week the rumors came back in full force this time with more details – that Chen Xiao asked for the divorce, Michelle does not want it, and that he’s moved out since December 2023 so 6-months ago and refuses any contact with her, he changed his cell and her only way to contact him is through his team.

The reasons remain the same – cultural differences between folks who grew up in Mainland and Taiwan, her insecurity and clinginess, and his indifference. Neither side has responded to this round of rumors but this week Michelle, who normally lives in Taipei with their son, is in China to film a modern C-drama titled Sniper Butterfly. Legit this drama wouldn’t even make any waves but for the fact that 41-year old Michelle is starring in a romance opposite 22-year old Zhou Ke Yu making the 19-year age gap one of the largest in recent C-drama memory. I don’t even know who this fetus Zhou Ke Yu is other than he looks like if you smushed Xu Kai and Yang Yang together and popped out their AI gene combo child. Michelle is also getting flack for the highly photoshopped posters when she looks way closer to her real age at the filming ceremony this week.
