I find myself in a lull between dramas when nothing excites me, and 49 Days is the perfect easygoing drama to follow at this time. While I grouse about the things I find lacking about it (so far), it nevertheless has been a breezy watch that leaves me curious about the greater story to be told while never anxiously awaiting the next episode. In fact, I find myself liking this drama more after time has passed, because outside of actually watching it, I do like the premise and concept so very much.
Written preview for episode 5:
Having made up her mind, Ji Yyung walks purposefully towards the front door and rings the doorbell without any hesitation. Ji Hyun’s mom’s voice is heard through the intercom, and Ji Kyung has no choice but to lie that she is Ji Hyun’s friend and has received something from Ji Hyun.
Ji Kyung enters the house and sees Ji Hyun’s mom in her depressed state and Ji Kyung feels a deep pain in her heart. While Ji Hyun is in Yi Kyung’s body, she cannot return to her original place in the family.
In Ji Hyun’s room, Ji Kyung finds the seal in the pocket of the kangaroo stuffed animal. After Ji Kyung finishes what she came to do and leaves the house, In Jung arrives and confirms that the seal is nowhere to be found, leaving her frantic….

I was quite surprise with this preview because usually we don't get the answers we are looking for through a written preview, (most are vague and lack anything substantial), but this preview answered the cliffhanger.
Maybe because there are much tension which can't be exposed due to last cliffhanger, so the written preview releases the answer but keep secret for the rest of episode.
I agree with you about this drama. I like it more because of the premise and concept than because of the execution, which is still lacking that 'pull' for me. The only time I find myself grinning madly is when Hot Reaper Boy shows up onscreen - those scenes are gold :P
The drama is pretty watchable for me than Midas because I find it breezy with a lot of swoon-worthy moments by the hot reaper boy! Jung Il-woo is practically stealing the show from everybody, alas he only had few scenes per episode. Nonetheless, I'm also liking the different characterizations esp. Lee Yo won as Ji Yun and Jo Hyun Jae as Han Kang. For a first time director, I am okay with his work but the editing should be improved and I agree with you, the music is terrible!!
Yet I have to say, talking about bad music, 49 days can't beat My Princess. At least I don't get distracted much by the music of 49 days and some songs are nice; whereas I've had some seriously disturbed moments hearing the music of My Princess, which sometimes totally ruin the feeling that has developed on screen.
Thanks for the written preview! Yes, they really don't keep us hanging, do they? I remember the episode where she was searching for the seal in her bedroom, but the preview revealed that she would be okay (hanging from the balcony).
what happened with the music? i find they are nice..
what is the disturbing you are talking about?
tell me, coz i don't get in when you all complain about music. tsk tsk tsk..
looking too much for a perfect drama? i don't think we'll find it, there must be some lacks here and there.
and i really can't find your critics about music, they are beatutiful and fit on the scene
i am yet to come across a drama with good music like bad guy . even though the writting sucked and the writters completely lost me 13 episodes . it really went all out on the music . 49 days could do better music wise . right no wi just want more HAN KANG
