tvN Schedules Cinderella and Four Knights in August Followed by K-drama Remake of Entourage
Cable network tvN announced the upcoming line-up for it’s popular Fri-Sat drama time slot which just wrapped up Dear My Friends and will air the Korean remake of The Good Wife starting next week. It’s the late summer drama I’m most keen on, a manhwa to drama adaptation of youthful cohabitation hijinks flower boy laden story called Cinderella and Four Knights. Starring Jung Il Woo, Park So Dam, Ahn Jae Hyun, and Lee Jung Shin, the drama has already completed filming and will make a huge tonal shift for tvN following The Good Wife.
After Cinderella and Four Knights is yet another US show remake, digging further back for an older show in remaking hip entertainment industry ensemble Entourage. Initially Im Shi Wan was courted but he passed on the male star lead role which went to Seo Kang Joon, with his entourage played by Kwang Soo, Lee Dong Hwi and Park Jung Min. I’d watch this show for Jo Jin Woong playing the agency CEO role that made Jeremy Piven famous.

Cinderella and Entourage are not necessarily following Good Wife. The poster for Cinderella even indicates that it’s airing in August in an 11 pm timeslotㅡwhich means a new timeslot is being created. Good Wife also ends in end-August, so its followup (either Tomorrow With You or K2) would have to start September, to be followed by the Gong Yoo drama.
I wonder, how does Park So Dam manage to shoot two dramas during such a short period of time? She is such a talented and hard-working actress (actually, I believe that Park So Dam and Han Hyo Joo are the best South Korean actresses under 30, while Kim So Hyun is the best actress under 20 years old – unfortunately, there is such a lack of young talented actresses these days).
