Second Teaser for Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food Ramps Up the Flirting

I love that jTBC romance Pretty Noona Who Buys Me Food has the frequently used noona-dongsaeng romance troupe from K-dramas but doesn’t feel so obvious or jarring. Perhaps it’s with the perfect casting of leads Son Ye Jin and Jung Hae In, a few years apart in real life enough to make it clear she’s older than him but without detracting from the very real possibility he could totally be the right guy for her. The second teaser is out with additional drama stills, all showing the two leads hanging out and flirting. So much hanging out and flirting, on bikes, in restaurants, even just walking I can feel the frisson of interest between them. Very nicely done!

    • Hahaha…. there is no way she looks like an Ahjumma…. and he is a grown man not a kid…. lol… such an exaggeration ?

      • It is the age gap to a man that defines when a women is an ahjumma?

You are not a very clever person are you?

      • @pp – no, men don’t care about age gap as long as the woman is pretty & sexy. Men usually cannot tell the age of women just from looks!! It’s those jealous girls who cannot tolerate older women who are more beautiful, hence try to bash them as Ahjumma… get it?

      • @pp – ah, I see you’re someone who doesn’t know and can’t imagine any couples where the woman is older. How gauche, pitiful really.

(and I assure you, my brother (28) does not think of his wife (34) as an ‘ajumma’ or any equivalent of it lol)

  1. I never liked noona-dongsaeng romance but with PD Ahn helming, maybe it’s wortg to check out this drama though both leads are not my favourites. Plus, none of the currently airing dramas feel really pique my interest.

    • I also keep hearing that the actors in The Great Seducer (Woo Do Hwan, Moon Ga Young, Kim Min Jae) are really good but idk if that story is something that interests you.

  2. It’s the drama I can’t wait for since the announce of the casting ! I think the story, the clothes, the ambiance all is made to be like a normal and simple love story no clichés dramas.

  3. Can I just say how perfect the styling is? It’s so good to see adult drama leads with styles that suit their age and looks instead of OTT trendy or ugly styles (often sponsored).

Or maybe I’m biased because I covet Son Ye Jin’s red bag and chic coats lol. But she looks just right as the older sophisticated woman who’s lived abroad and knows life.

  4. They look good together.

Son Ye-jin – she can have project a girlish giggly quality, which will go with this flow. Or some days she’s looking her age or a ajuma type vibe, esp when she looks really tired.
