After K-actor Jung Hae In broke our in While You Were Sleeping and Prison Playbook, his first male lead role in Pretty Noona Buys Me Food (Something in the Rain) was as expected a star making turn that got all the noona swooning despite the story falling apart in the second half. But then he followed that up with good performances but in similar mood romance dramas One Spring Night and A Piece of Your Mind, so then it got repetitive. And then his Baeksang Award snafu were he stood in the middle was like watching a gymnast on the balance beam do a wolf turn and nearly fall off but somehow stayed on my foot clench and leg strength and sheer will power. Netizens wanted to cancel him but he’s not cancelled but wisely took a detour that now looks like a perfect pivot. He’s starring in the Netflix series D.P. (Deserter Pursuit) with Koo Kyu Hwan as the duo joins the military police to chase down and bring back army deserters. It’s a legit problem in South Korea thanks to mandatory service but not every guy can mentally or physically hack it. The drama posters look great, creative and striking, and better yet the teaser was a breath of fresh air because this is a comedy rather than a serious depressing tale. I love it and can’t wait to check it out when Netflix drops the series on August 27th 2021.

It looks fun and touching in the same time. It's a short drama, so no fillers.
I really liked him in While you were Sleeping even more than the male lead. Afte Prison Playbook, I was surprised he got cast as male lead in Something in the Rain but was happy about his sudden rise to stardom.
This wasn't even on my radar, but the trailer has piqued my interest. I haven't cared for Jung Hae-in in anything I've watched him in so hopefully this will change my mind. It's a change of pace for him, at least.
Hung Hae In is one of my fav Korean 1actor. I watched all his latest k drama. Longing to see him again in a new drama.
