The castings are starting to really get underway for the 2022 dramas now that its November already, and a new one on the horizon has an interesting concept. Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong deals with the practice of psychiatry but during the Joseon era which has not been done before with plenty of medical dramas set in the Joseon era. In talks for the leads are cuties Kim Min Jae and Kim Hyang Gi so this drama leads will be skewing young. The premise is that mental health healing will be used to bring comfort to those whose suffering would have been untreatable. Kim Min Jae’s male lead was a top royal acupuncturist who cannot touch a needle anymore and turns to psychiatry and Kim Hyang Gi joins him in the practice. The drama starts filming in January 2022 with a first half airing date.
