Writing Jung Do Yeon and the words rom-com drama in the same sentence, never thought that would happen but here it is! The top award winning actress will be back on the small screen later this year in a genre she hasn’t been in for close to two decades. She’s confirmed to headline the romantic comedy drama One Shot Scandal and her male lead is currently courting Jung Kyung Ho, to which I say sign on dude! The drama will be the third production reunion of the PD and screenwriter duo of High School King of Savvy and Oh My Ghost. The PD is actually riding a high wave after directing Hometown Cha Cha Cha in 2021 and Hi My Mama in 2020, and he’s worked exclusively with tvN so I think this drama will air on that channel most likely.

I dont think JDY can handle rom-com drama well but let’s see, anyway she is an award winning actress.
You obviously have not seen her in Lovers in Prague, which has some comedy in it.
She was very charming in the show. Romcom is a piece of cake for her.
I didn’t like Lost, it’s sad because I love the main actors, but the story was so unclear…
So I’m happy to know she will be in a rom-com with a great actor. JKH has such a good comedy timing!
