KBS 2022 Year End Drama Awards Makes Lemonade Out of Lemons with Joint Daesang Winners in Joo Sang Wook and Lee Seung Gi

Alirghty Airens, please explain what the heck is going on with Lee Seung Gi and his shaved head look? Is it a bout of lice, a second go-around in military service, for a new acting projects, or most likely heralding a new year new start? I was mostly interested in how round is head looked (so cute!) to care about the acting KBS 2022 Year End Drama Awards, which predictably was trying to milk a cat that just wanted to be left alone. There wasn’t a single hit but all the actors and actresses tried their best with bad scripts and weird scandals so no one was to blame other than it was not a good year for the network. Daesang went to Joo Sang Wook and Lee Seung Gi jointly and a bevy of acting awards were handed out to big name stars that did KBS dramas not to mention a good handful of Best Couple Awards all around. All in all, the network definitely needs a refresh reboot for 2023.

  1. Lee Bang Won had excellent ratings and finished with 10% even with a huge scandal and gap in between and most dramas got them 6% ish average ratings….yes, neither here nor there but it didn’t do extremely bad. I thought they had best Sageuk as a whole to offer out of most networks.

  2. I don’t really like shared Daesangs. It takes away the significance. I like LSG but his performance was definitely not Daesang worthy.

Boring red carpet fashion even by Korean standards. Seohyun’s dress is probably the best out of the typical parade of white and black gowns.

  3. KBS awards just give awards to everybody. It’s kinda sad for the ones really deserve it.

Lee Joon and Yong-Hwa’s interactions were cute, it’s nice to see they’re still friends after so long.
