Veteran TW Top Host Mickey Huang Admits to Allegations of Sexual Harassment and Drops 20 Minute Live Stream Accusing Other Stars of Misconduct Before Trying to Kill Himself by Slitting His Wrists — 15 Comments

  1. Passing off blame, justifying, and trying to commit s leaving his wife (also a celebrity) to deal with his mess- pissed me off more! The bravado when s.a-ing innocent victims, and when caught, gaslighting the victim and the public. Also, there seemed to be an onslaught of #metoo accusations, some celebrity adjacent.

    • Exactly. It’s a non-apology for me, he’s literally blaming everything and everyone lmao
      I say boo-f**king-hoo

  2. Wow men are gross indeed 🤮 (for the pick-mes and incels here, I obviously don’t mean every single man on earth, so don’t come at me foaming at the mouth, don’t be intentionally obtuse)

So he “apologized” but also blamed literally everything and everyone for his behavior? What particularly stood out to me was him blaming his mother. Like, damn, men will really do a whole lot of mental gymnastics just to blame women for their gross behavior, I’m so tired of it.
And to think he has a daughter! 🤮
The only ones I feel sorry for are his daughter and the female victims. This dude can go f*ck himself… in jail, hopefully

People make fun of and mock the #MeToo movement all the time, but I’m so glad it exists. About time this f**kers get their comeuppance after getting away with it for so long 😠

  3. I don’t understand why he blamed his mother was wrong? I’m in the middle of marathoning Law & Order SVU and SA during childhood is a legit reason for deviant behaviour in adulthood, it can even reduce his time in prison or even change his punishment to be admitted to psychiatric hospital. He admitted his wrong but also gave reasons, what’s wrong with that? Or you’re also saying murdering people for self-defense is also disgusting thing. The reason of someone doing bad things is always a consideration for prosecutor’s charges.

    • He was not sexually assaulted, he claimed his mother had an affair in front of him (well, a lot of kids have parents who had affairs and even divorced messily, does it excuse sex crimes?) and his father’s porn stash corrupted him which again, is not unique to him. A lot of men watch porn from a young age. It just sounds like the usual nonsense of blaming a woman for a man’s misdemeanors; Micky wasn’t underaged when he committed those deeds. If he was under 16 he would be entitled to a lighter sentence but he was 35-36 (15 years ago?) and fully an adult. He was mid 30s and preying on a 17 year old girl, how does he have the nerve to blame his mother and father? I’m not even 35 and I don’t think I can blame my mother if I robbed someone.

    • In the court of law that could be considered as a mitigating factor, but live streaming about it just speaks of how he is doing the ‘I am victim’ woe. He is not a victim in this specific assault.
And all this blaming his mother, blaming the other industry/celebs for their crimes and then announcing self harm is another brand of terror and assault. People don’t need to hear/watch that in a live stream. He should say that in court of law.
He may be in a psychologic distress right now but he should still be liable for all of his action.
HE IS A PERPETRATOR, plain and simple.
And him trying to kill himself is him not ‘accepting consequences’, he doesnt have any accountability whatsoever for the victim.

Your example is far off, it is not even in the same plain.
It’s Killing someone in self defense vs Sexual assault (on someone young when he is an adult in the superior power and position) in defense of mothers abuse. The comparison you did is the disgusting part…!

I mean, his mother should be tried for child abuse (which I wonder if it can still be tried), but he needs to be tried for his sexual assault.

    • There is a lot of difference between killing someone in self-defense and SA. That’s such a bad comparison you’ve made. One is an act of defense against oppression, mostly the last straw for many people while the other is clearly put oppression and a crime against an innocent. Also, his mom didn’t abuse him if you read the article, it says he only saw her cheating with another man.

  4. Not surprised at all at these tw hosts and their histories. I’m sure more will get unearthed with time. Alot of them come off incredibly sleazy and have a shady vibe on tv that the tw tv culture passes off as funny and witty. They also blatantly objectify women in so many of their shows, whilst some might pass it off as tw culture, and I understand, but when you normalise objectifying behaviour there is definitely some boundary-crossing stuff that went on and nobody has spoken put about

    • Amen. Bu Xueliang, Jacky Wu, Xu Nailin, Nono, Show Luo, Mickey Huang, and all these so called comedians drop sleazy inneundos on every female guest and contestant and they think they are slick. Jacky Wu’s reply to Mickey Huang was sus, he said being a player is better than being a creep and “women only think it’s sexual harrassment when the man is ugly” which is something a lot of chauvinistic men think.

  6. In case you are not aware, these latest MeToo reports are triggered by the Taiwanese drama Wave Makers. This drama about those working behind and towards election is superb and what I consider the best drama in 2023. Top notch writing, directing and acting with one sub plot on unbalance of power between boss and subordinates, and sexual harassment. When a courageous team leader brings this issue forward and getting road blocks here and there, her line “we cannot let this go, okay” becomes the catchphrase that triggers those victims coming forward across the political, media, and entertainment spectrum.

Bravo to Wave Maker which I finish in one sitting over two days – available at Netflix.

  7. I mean, he was explaining his reasons for his depravity and disturbed ways, which will be used later in court, so think of what he’s confessing as preview.

His wife mentions that while he has had a troubled past, he aims and is working towards being a good person, good father and good husband. Some of this can be corroborated by his outing of the other major players in his accusations. He must’ve really expected himself to die after this, because the consequences of admitting and exposing these other players is likely to bring severe catastrophe to his career and life. There are no benefits to doing this, except to provide some justice to those who have been impacted. But there could also be some underlying motivation to be seen as a “hero” for exposing others.

An alternative possibility is that he’s high on drugs and is making stuff up as he goes. A third maybe is that he’s trying to drag as many people into this mess as possible so that it diffuses the blame and removes his culpability (a real dirtbag move.)

Dee Hsu was his ex many years ago, and she really dragged his life thru the mud when they broke up because he got involved with Bowie Tsang. They had a sort of redemptive episode where they discussed what had happened and she said she would always feel sorry for pulling his career so low after the breakup. At the time, I was like, how is there such a well-mannered man who, while enduring these hardships, could forgive her for what she had put him thru? Maybe the answer is, well, he never really forgave her or his mother. It’s ironic because now that he can’t really go back, he decides to pull her down with him lol. But as to whether this is the truth and what are his true motivations, the jury is still out on that one
