The jTBC drama King the Land has been the unexpected success of the K-drama 2023 summer season and deserves it. Coasting on a flimsy script and recycled tropes, Junho and Yoona have delivered the ratings and buzz on their charm alone, there is no doubting it. The rumors of a real life relationship (denied) have added to the luster but honestly their pre-drama airing promos were so meh I thought it was two good friends playing house. But with the actual drama being good K-drama fans have dugged up their Allure pictorial and wondered which K-drama romance OTP have shot the best magazine spreads? For me based on recollection alone it’s still Hyeri and Jang Ki Young in My Roommate is a Gumiho and I would love to hear others chime in on the chemistry laden couples out there.

I don’t like any of these final photo shot, there are better burning hot OTP photo shot. However, I remember the video photoshoot of LeejaeWook and GoYounJung done by Elle and it was fire. If there’s no attraction there, then they are incredible actors.
GYJ and LJW were fire! Would not be surprised if they are dating in real life. Hyeri and JKY had so much chemistry in their shoot and the drama too. MRIAG was a fun drama despite the non-plot. The Dazed shoot with LJS and HHJ was super hot too way back as were him and PSH. PBY with PHS were so cute and their couple shoot was extremely refreshing back then. Wonder when these kind of shoots became so popular but its loads of fun for the fans and shippers.

Seriously these couple shoots are really fun and fandoms hotly anticipate them. Most of the times the chemistry is great and the interview videos that come with are even more exciting. Heavily anticipating the one for Kim Sohyun and Hwang Minhyun especially the interview because the one they did with Tvn was hella cute and fun. They had amazing chemistry even though the interview looks like it was done way back in April or May which is pretty early on in the drama filming. Magazines are doing a great job with the concepts too but has anyone noticed how much magazine spreads in Korea have changed in the past 10 years? Actors used to dominate the covers and it was high prestige for only select A List movie and tv stars but these days idols dominate magazine covers especially the BLACKPINK girls and recently New Jeans is quite popular too.

It’s not a magazine photoshoot, but I remember being obsessed with Kim So Hyun and Yook Sungjae’s ad photos for Hazzys way back in 2015, the chemistry was insane! 🔥
They all look really great but Kim Dami and Choi Woo-sik’s photoshoot was what convinced me I should watch OBS. The chemistry wasn’t fire, it was very slow burn, long-term compatible type chemistry which really drew me in.
So many good pairings coming up in the second half of the year so I’m looking forward to all the shoots.

Lee Jong Seok/Park Shin Hye did a post-drama pictorial for Pinocchio in London and it was one of the all-time greats of this genre
Park Hyungshik/Nam Ji Hyun’s pictorial above was also perfect, it suited their image from their drama really well
Hyeri/Jang Ki Young’s editorial was perfectly conceptualised and executed, love it
Also IU/Moon Lovers male cast pictorial in Cosmopolitan yielded some great pics of her with both Lee Joon Gi and Kang Haneul, the chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥
I forgot the ones of Cosmopolitan for Moon Lovers , i have one of the photos in mind and it was like fireworks . I mentioned also the one of London in my comment . I think that he was the partner that Park Shin Hye has the greatest chemistry with . And i’m not a kind of shipper couple as many viewers . I just notice chemistry between 2 actors . I remember one between TOP with a much older actress and it was really hot .
I think for 2023 the best couple pictorials would be Lee Sung Kyung and Kim Young Kwang for Call It Love. They basically nailed it as former models.
Agree , have you seen the one with him and Jung So Min a few years ago for a drama . The chemistry was great too . But Kim Young Kwang is a model who nail it each time . When he wasn’t an actor yet , he also did one with Yoon Eun Hye for Marie claire ( 2008 ) and it was hot too . I like him since years !
