So idol turned actor Ro Woon is now going to be an actor full time and it’s only fitting that the news comes out when he’s pulling drama double duty. His currently airing drama Destined with You will be followed near seamlessly next month with the sageuk romance drama The Matchmaker (Wedding Battle) where he and female lead Choi Yi Hyun are both widow/widower and trying to help others like them find romance again in a society that shuns such people as bad luck to lose a spouse. The first posters are out and it’s serviceable but I do love stories that try to elevate people above their circumstances in the time period of life.
This year 2024 has been a slow year for K-actress Suzy in terms of her…
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…

I feels like this theme is a bit overused, were there a lot of marriage agencies back in korean history?
I can't explain how thus guy gets leading roles all the time, he's a pretty wooden actor his face is so plastic it is disturbing to look at.
The only drama I liked her acting was in My Country and her role was small. In School 2021, the second couple was far better. I didn't specially liked All of Us Are Dead.
It will be nice to get a light sageuk to balance My Dearest!
I like Rowoon. I think he has improved heaps. Sure he may not be the best but he's really likable and is pretty charismatic on screen. I don't really agree on the 'wooden' allegations. Although I do understand someone's first impression of him from Extraordinary You would be of that. But as someone who has casually watched some of his works, he's quite serviceable and knows how to emote. The characters he has played are quite varied as well, which is nice. I like that you can actually see that he's improving unlike some other idol actors who I shall not name (but probably you would have an idea) lol.
