There is no word yet on when C-drama The Legend of Shen Li will air but the drama is definitely a high profile S+ level drama with Zhao Li Ying as the top billing female lead and reuniting with her Princess Agent‘s male lead Lin Geng Xin. The promos so far look great but the latest filming stills to come out from the set are getting criticism from the C-netizens with Zhao Li Ying’s styling and onscreen presence. The look is drab and Zhao Li Ying is so petite she doesn’t project that powerful female lead character aura. It’s not a very good or memorable look for sure but Zhao Li Ying has always been teeny tiny and once in action I’m sure she’ll be impactful.

Why do people in C-Ent take publicity stills so seriously LMAOAOAO in Korean Entertainment sure, but usually these are just run of the mill updates on the production process and random scenes. They’re not posters. Let’s be honest with ourselves, they’re just bored of her and looking for a reason to criticize. But atleast pick a good one! 🤡

ZLY can’t do fierce in historical dramas. And don’t tell me she’s fierce in Princess Agent. That drama was laughable when they try to convince you that this pint-sized, twig-thin woman can be some sort of warrior lol. It felt like she was cosplaying.
Idk, I don’t have high hopes for this one, because it stars LGX and secondly, casting her as the strong goddess. It’s a miscast straight from the start.
I couldn’t get through Princess Agent despite how popular it was. The set and the costumes look so cheap. ZLY is pretty, but I failed to believe that she was a strong warrior in that drama. I don’t think I ever got past episode 1.

She was never good when it comes to fierce characters. She tries but that’s just it. You can tell she is forcing it. I have no idea why they keep casting her in these because there are better choices.
ZLY is the producer, they didn’t cast her, she casts herself. She is responsible for all the casting, costumes, stylings, scripts, PR, etc. She has no qualification to be a producer but after dissing producers, she’s left with no choice but to produce. After she dissed organizers at events, she had to start hosting too, and she did so bad as a host recently. She was unprepared and didn’t even know the agenda. So far, ZLY did pretty bad PR for this drama, to make herself stand out she threw LGX under the bus for looking old and fat on Chinese news platforms and Jayenstars internationally. Their trailer also only showed her and LGX, no other casting members. Super unprofessional.
I have no issue with ZLY in Princess Agent. She’s the reason for me to even check out the drama. But the ML LGX is always a big turn off for me. On top of that, like most C dramas, the pacing of PA was slow as heck and plodding unfit for action genre. I like her outfit here though at least she doesn’t look cheesy as many other actors did in the Chinese costume dramas with comical, heavy, and extravagant headpieces that’s totally overkill.
