Well this is as trendy of a main four cast as it can get in K-ent at least with the younger gen. The two male leads of the movie adaptation of Omniscient Reader Viewpoint has long confirmed Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seob but this week rounded out the entire full cast starting with the two female leads who will be played by Blackpink‘s solo actress branch out Jisoo and Nana who is also an idol turned actress. Also in the cast are Chae Soo Bin, Shin Seung Ho, Jung Sung Il, and Park Ho San. This is a sprawling series and will have multiple arcs and the movies are also slated to be I believe a trilogy. I have high hopes and I think the CGI will be fine in this day and age and honestly Along with the Gods turned out so well in movie form.

Also, poor Jisoo. I like her as an idol, but let’s be honest, Nana will eat her alive in both visuals and acting 😂

Jisoo’s crazy fans otoh have been attacking anyone who says anything about their acting genius unnie’s casting, who according to them was almost certainly snubbed for a best actress Baeksang for snowdrop due to some anti blackpink conspiracy! Anyone who is less than ecstatic about the casting is a bitter anti jealous of their actress/singer/dancer/model prodigy’s fame, wealth and natural good looks!

Wow, what a cast. The secondary leads are amazing. I am reserving my opinion on the main leads, but I am certainly interested to see how they will do. I haven’t read the original source but its description sounds amazing. As to its fans, well, I rarely pay attention to fan woes when it comes to adaptations. Let me remind you how much people bitched about the casting for The Untamed before watching the actual show. When one reads a novel, well, it’s only normal to imagine the main characters according to one’s own preferences, but this is highly subjective. I am sure that if the casting director thought that Lee Minho is a fit, then it is quite possible that he can cut it, and the same goes for the rest of the cast, with the possible exception of Jisoo, who may have been casted partly because of her top idol status. However I personally think she’s not bad and also absolutely gorgeous, so, let’s just watch before judging.
How did novel fans bitch about the casting for the Untamed? I only know that almost everyone in the key cast auditioned for the role of Xue Yang. LOL. Xiao Zhan was also going to audition for Xue Yang. But the moment he walked in, the producer Yang Xia knew he’s the right one for Wei Wuxian.
What are fans complaining about LMH? I personally like Ahn Hyo Seop better though.
Don’t you remember all the complaints regarding Yibo? There were even people claiming that XZ was too green to play WWX.
Both did great and this is why we tend to forget it, but there are always ott fans that yell because the actor chosen does not fit 100% the mental image they have of a certain character.

To be honest I care more about the two main actor, lee minho was disappointmen choice and I was fine with ahn hyoseop, but after watching a time called you, I don’t know if he could play this role. It was underwhelming performance compared to the actor in original version.

Trendy cast but can’t say much about their box-office pull and meh on the acting. Nana and the rest of the supporting cast will have to do the heavy lifting because the 3 highest profile names are just meh. The webtoon is very very popular though and seems like knetz are fine with the casting so there’s that.
Please It’s not that bad, Ji soo is not that complete liability. She can emote even complex emotion. like she display in Snowdrop. This will be full of action. will be less dialogue. I bet The dialogue on her part won’t be that complicated.
Hyoseop can be trust. also. he has range.
I actually okay Ji SOo casting. This drama might be less dialogue, will mostly action pack and in environment like this is really easier to get immersed. Ji Soo is already proven she is good at showing emotion, all problem is her pronunciation.
