So with this confirmation the drama has vaulted to the top of my most excited for K-drama of 2024, yay! After earlier casting news, this week its confirmed that Jung Hae In and Jung So Min will be the leads of rom-com K-drama Mom’s Friend’s Son. This will be Jung Hae In’s first rom-com drama since his debut ten years ago in 2014 which is wild to think about since in 17 dramas none of been the most audience friendly genre of rom-com. The drama is also highly anticipated coming from the PD and screenwriter combo that did Hometown Cha Cha Cha. The two leads grew up as kids whose moms were best friends and their lives have diverged in professional success but that mom connection brings them back together again.
Doesn’t it sound like Welcome to Samdal-ri? Childhood sweethearts growing up together whose moms were besties until something went south. I love both Ji Chang Wook and Shin Hye Sun and watched WtS for them but dropped the drama after a few eps. These types of trope aren’t for everyone including me. I guess Mon’s Friend’s Son should be similar.
Interesting pairing and collab! Jung So Min finding success much later in her career life. I find her getting prettier as she gets older.
+1
I find her very pretty, too. Uniquely her own. Looking forward to this pairing. JHI in a rom-com, it’s about time.
yes to this. but then again, i’ve never really understood why her visuals was criticized back then, she didn’t fit the mold exactly but she’s still pretty 🤷🏻♀️

So excited by this pair! They’re around the same age, they’re both great actors and it’s a rom-com! \o/
Love the pairing, but didn’t love Hometown chachacha. I binged a lot of dramas in the past few months and this was the only one I dropped.
I like Jung So Min since her debut, so i’m in . Happy that she’s is getting recognition after years in the field . After the movie , now this drama with a solid co star .
This sounds fun! I can see them making a great on-screen couple.JSM is so pretty!
