Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won Go Through the Three Stages of Relationship in New Stills for tvN Drama The Queen of Tears

So tvN has been very good to viewers anticipating its upcoming K-drama The Queen of Tears as there has been a steady stream of promos since the beginning of February. The latest release shows leads Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won showing off their good looks through the three stages of a relationship. The first is cheerfully dating with all the energy and optimism. Then comes the warm and loving wedding day moment. And last is the simmering tension and in-each-other’s-face conflict. It’s left me wondering if Kim Ji Won’s character was the one Kim Soo Hyun fell in love with and married and then later she changed, or it was all just her hiding her true bitchy self to land her a man.

  1. The production team is doing a great job of releasing promotional materials steadily. Doesn’t feel overwhelming and it amps up the excitement. KSH and KJW look really good together too! Lots of fun chemistry along with intensity. Super excited

  2. Wonder what happened in those 3 years, in the the newest teasers, KSH’s character said he hate his in laws, but the person he hates the most is his wife. And it looks like they can’t stand each other while being married.

    • looks like they married with him believing they were in love but then her family or some misunderstanding got in the way not long afterwards so they’re now married in name only? (and stay married only to avoid scandal).

Park Ji Eun is great at writing prickly or arrogant rich-girl characters with a vulnerable side, like Cheon Songyi or Producers’ Cindy or even Yoon Seri, now I guess this one too. I’m trying not to have high expectations here but with these leads it’s hard not to lol.
