Chen Zhe Yuan and Wang Chu Ran in Talks for Period Romance C-drama Wan Xin Ji
This is a new rumored pairing for an upcoming period C-drama and it’s two stars I’ve not thought of working together before. The C-drama Wan Xin Ji (绾心记) from the director of The Long Ballad is about to start production and reportedly the leads will be Chen Zhe Yuan and Wang Chu Ran. It’s a period drama so not xianxia and timing wise Chen Zhe Yuan is between projects while Wang Chu Ran is about to finish filming for Guo Jing Ming‘s next stylish C-drama Feng Yin Ran Mei Xiang (烽影燃梅香). So far the fandoms of both sides don’t want their star to take this project, criticizing the reputation of the other, which is a lot like two pots calling the other kettle black.
I really doubt Chen Zhe Yuan’s agency would have allowed this pairing 3months ago…Now, unless they have to get him a new drama otherwise his Brand will suffer further.
With this pairing, I wonder if they will share top listing or will Wang Chu Ran be second to Chen Zhe Yuan?

Agreed. WCR is a much better actor than him. Her earlier performance as Wang Kai’s crazy concubine in Serenade of Peaceful Joy was great. She was under 20 yo at that time but her acting was already seasoned and matured.
Now with all of the dirty water poured at her reputation, many people forgot that she is actually a really good actor.
Yes, she was really good in that one. And generally, even including that accursed Fireworks that started all this because YY needed a sacrificial goat, she does a good job.
Hopefully when time passes she can move on.

Why has Chen zheyuan got a bad reputation? Plus it’s hard to be liked or get recognition in the acting world, it be nice for supports to new actors who are trying to make it big. I’ll be quite excited to see Wang Chu Ran and chen zheyuan to work together. Regardless
