So my post about how cable sageuk drama Missing Crown Prince was a meh offering starting off with low 1.452% ratings and male lead Suho’s idol background as well as criticism of female lead Hong Ye Ji was not necessarily premature as it was true at that time but 10 weeks later things have changed. The MBN weekend drama ended with 5.059% which quadrupled the opening ratings and honestly was a huge surprise. The drama remained rather under the radar, I rarely heard any buzz about it, but the ratings kept going up steadily and has ended as the third highest rated drama in MBN history. From the online reviews it’s the story and directing, and serviceable acting from the leads, that created a solid sageuk to watch, which is especially special in a sageuk vacuum during this period. For sageuk fans who may have avoided this due to the leads and low budget vibe, this sounds like a worthwhile drama to check out.

Koala, have you watched “my lovely mobster”? Just watched the first 2 episodes and am on my way to rewatch them! This has never happened to me with a k-drama before – think I have found my favourite drama for the year!
If you like comedy, try to eatch dreaming pf freaking cinderella! These two dramas are similar, theyโre just so damn funny ๐๐
@Koala: Please post about Chun Woo Hee being cast as the FL for Song Joong Ki’s new drama
I don’t think Suho should be a lead to be honest. I think this drama worked thanks to the older actors than the leads.
