Yook Sung Jae, Bona, and Kim Ji Hoon Cast for Supernatural Themed Sageuk Drama Return to the Palace — 10 Comments

  1. This sounds boring. The PD has never impressed me. Although it’s my favorite genre, I don’t see any appeal in the cast either.

  2. Hwarang was pretty bad and Mr Queen never really assumed its own story.

I wasn’t impressed by Yook Sung-Jae as a lead in Golden Spoon, I liked Bona in Pyramide Game.

Kim Ji-Hoon will look so mature compared to them.

  3. I miss Kim ji hoon as a male lead. He was so cute back in the day and now that he beefed out and grew his hair he keeps being put in second fiddle stuff. He deserves more. But he is aging up so that might be why.

    • I feel like he plays more interesting roles now though and it’s given his career a second wind as he is playing more darker, character driven roles. He was good-looking but quite bland and forgettable when he used to play romantic leads.

      • I know but still. If just once I’d like to see him in a romance. Who knows maybe these experiences can improve it maybe. πŸ™ƒ

  4. Another almost identical drama has been announced today with Nam Jo Hyuk and Noh Yeon Seo in the leads with the PD of Soundtrack #2.

    • Thank you! I was getting confused because I was sure I saw a similar plot today with Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Soo cast.

  5. Yook Sung Jae is always very charming in roles. Bona is one of the few idol actresses I have time for. She is very good.

I am not keen on this director though.

  6. Kim Ji Hoon seems not taking the lead. It’s interesting because he shines usually when he gets a more limited screen time than a main character. I remember his character but forget the male lead in Flower Boy Next Door, Flower of Evil, and that mini drama Babel.

  7. Kim Ji Hoon + supernatural sageuk. My brain shut off at that point and all I could think was JOSEON X-FILES! πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€πŸ–€
