So there is legit industry word that Tang dynasty period drama The Story of Pearl Girl will be airing next month in October 2024. Youku has started investor CF rounds and promos are starting to ramp up. Starring Zhao Lu Si, Liu Yu Ning, and Tang Xiao Tian, the drama got early interest as a reunion of the second leads from The Long Ballad in their own first lead romance here but from the promos and industry chatter I’m starting to temper expectations. Reportedly the CP is not as strong story-wise here as it was in TLB and that sucks for fans of the two hoping for a sweet and happier second go-around. The new preview and poster also focus strongly the female lead growth, evolution, and journey in this story which is fine and I can’t wait to see it, but does mean the drama isn’t selling the romance or CP element as much.

I’ve watched most of Zhao Lusi’s dramas and it’s clear as day she did PS or at least some kind of cosmetic procedure on the lower part of her face.
She’s already naturally pretty and didn’t need to change anything about herself at all. I hope she doesn’t do more, otherwise she will end up looking too plastic and unnatural which is not ideal for an actor/actress for obvious reasons.

Looking at photos is never a good way to determine something like PS when photos are highly edited for dramas or can be edited by randos online. Watching her in videos would be a more reliable way to actually tell. But also why does it even matter? Why bring this up all the time?
Exactly, she is an actress, let her acting speak for her, if u are boreded by her looks, there are so many actresses u can watch from, which suit their perfect description.
100% but I honestly think she’s been tinkering with her face for a long time. I think she’s just ramped it up recently. Don’t know why but her new grown up/sexy image seems so contrived to me. There’s nothing effortless about it at all, every photo/video of her seems to have so much “try”. Wish she would just be herself.

It could go to Viki – which most Cdramas and Kdramas viewer have easy access to. I believe some Cdramas are free so you can watch it with ads. And there’s always YouTube.

I don’t care about the drama, it’s a cliche story told numerous times before, done by better actors. I do care about the “drama” because fans are already fighting. Popcorn time!
I think it is not important whether she has cosmetic surgery or not. In my opinion she is a great and talented actress. I watched all her movie and dramas and she definitely is able to portray the different characters brilliantly.
