C-actress Zhao Lu Si’s Agency Confirms She’s Getting Medical Attention After Netizen Reveals Seeing Her Infirm at a Hospital
So this is really distressing to hear happen to an actress I love so much. C-actress Zhao Lu Si is reportedly in the hospital or at least getting medical treatment. This news has been confirmed by her agency after a netizen claimed to have seen her in a wheelchair at the hospital including with a picture evidence. She has not been filming Almost Lover for nearly two weeks now so her absence from the set now makes sense. There are conflicting rumor mill reasons for her illness including (1) she’s lost so much weight she’s basically unable to function, (2) she has severe depression and needs treatment, and (3) she doesn’t want to film the drama or stay with her agency and is using her health to send a message. No matter what I hope she gets healthy and happy soon, it’s so sad to see her looking so wan.
She needs a rest…proper rest. As for rumours…dont read anything online. In fact, if she can go somewhere quiet with loved ones…it will be best. No fans, no media, no agents, just rest.

Is she short? I never actually checked how tall she is.. I was 45kg @ 1.58m for most of my adult life.. She is even lighter than me..

You’re very light. Google says she’s 1.61m, I think she could be in the higher end of 1.5m as she seems short when standing next to other female celebrities sometimes. But below 40kg is way too unhealthy unless you are below 1.4m.
It is very sad to see this happening, but I hope such a high-profile case of an actress breaking down will help raise awareness to the pressures that these young actors are under. The constant public attacks on her looks that forced her to lose so much weight and also the pressure from her agency to keep working with barely any time to rest. It is no wonder that her acting has suffered.
There needs to be a change in public perception to no longer see being extremely thin as a sign of beauty (I really find it rather ugly to see all the bones), but to see it as the unhealthy craze that it is.

Just like what @Gennita said below, kindness is so badly needed and yet so lacking these days. I always find her full of life and cheerfulness. I think Zhao Lu Si deserves so much more love than all the online hatred and mockeries.
It doesn’t matter whether she gets lots of money and fame, the fact is she did not harm anybody so why all these hatred towards her?

Along the years of experience I’ve learned to be a synical, suspicious and skeptical person about anybody so I do not trust 100% anybody including ZLS.
Everything about this whole thing smells and looks too much like a publicity stunt I’ve seen other celebs do in the past. We live in a world where celebrities so very routinely do things to gather sympathy and pity from their fandoms and outsiders. Ignorance is bliss for too many but for me it’s just plain stupidity.
Besides celebs, politicians very highly frequently hire people to shoot or stab them to gain votes (some even have the guts to hire people to commit terrorist attacks to gain votes). I just opened a truck full of cans of worms, didn’t I?

ZLS can take a year or two hiatus to recuperate or maybe she can decide to leave c-ent if these are all too much for her and the industry is becoming a high-risk environment for her.
Negative speculations about her situation are still louder due to her 🍵 reputation so it would be better for her to take a longer hiatus period to recuperate and to sort things out.
I hope she can take rest for a longer time and prioritize her health. I really like her as a actress so want her to get better. If that means leaving the entertainment industry then so be it. I would whether see her healthy, happy, unstressed.

I don’t know about chinese entertainment industry but here in western part of Asia the artists are treated mercilessly. Even other people with other professions are judged by their looks. I remember my boss once told us sarcastically if you want to be taken seriously dye your hair and use blue eye contact lenses while we happend to be engineers. No wonder plastic surgeies are that popular.

I wondered about that too… she did strike me as a confident young girl before…but lately as she gets more popular, she is becoming more insecure. I do wish her well…
She never strikes me as confident before. The fact that she actively responded to netizens’ comments about her appearance on variety shows/livestreams previously shows that she takes those comments to heart and is highly insecure. A truly confident person will just laugh and brush it off.

It can’t be healthy being around young fellow actresses and actors who look wafer thin all the time too. And with dramas not being guaranteed to air (due to censorship or some costar getting into a controversy), an actor or actress who doesn’t want to risk not appearing on screen for long stretches of time, will have to work like crazy to film several dramas just in case.
Fans wanted an update on her situation and she obliged. Her agency never released any statement and what do you do? If you were to read more, you will be able to note filming has stopped. Maybe good to sit down and analyse all the news, true or not, before coming up with such remarks. No actor wants to stop filming and try to get sympathy.

Check out Weibo. Zhao Lu Si’s friend SNX just posted that Lu si was beaten by her boss. I think galaxy cool has been treating her as a cash cow and overworking her. They also criticize her appearance which is why she is so thin right now. I hope she escapes the evil company soon and have the time and capacity to recover.

Wow, nobody media plays like her. In the last few days, she’s been weaving some kind of carefully crafted narrative, bombarding Weibo hot search like she owns it. Not sure what her true intentions are but it’s pretty sickening to see that level of brainwashing and censorship. Most people, even if they were sympathetic at first, are not buying her victim playing games anymore and are letting it be known in forum posts. Of course many of these posts are shutdown almost immediately by her media team. In fact, anything that does not fit her narrative is taken care of pretty quickly.

They’ve literally chased people down to cuss them out for suggesting something like that. ZLS team has also paid for outlets that normally don’t write about entertainment to pen editorial pieces implying that netizens are not being kind to her (imagine the capital backing her to be able to pull off something like that) . Want she wants is not kindness. She wants pity and attention.

I remember making this comment a while back about how she only weighs like 80ish lbs when ppl commented about her having plastic surgery. I defended her and stated how at 80ish lbs, she’s severely underweight and bound to show some cosmetic changes. Nobody was as alarmed as I was about her weight, to the point even i started questioning myself if it’s possible to function at that weight and behave normally. She was smiling, posing, acting within this time and seemed fine. But i knew it was a matter of time before something would make her crash – being sick is one of them. Depression is probably due to her anorexia and lack of vital nutrients to keep her mood up. I hope it isn’t anything more major than that. I am astounded how she’s even able to get out of bed at that weight. When i went through a low weight phase, I felt lightheaded all the time and constantly cold. I can’t imagine how she must be doing.
She hasn’t looked well for a while. Depression can lead to weight loss and vice versa. The drama was a wrong choice and made everything worse. Her crash appears psychogenic. I hope she takes a long break and gets the necessary treatment to prevent worsening of her condition.

I saw some videos of her recently in the wheel chair and going through what seems like physical therapy for fine motor skills. It seems pretty serious, but of course there are some people here that will say it’s all part of her manipulative media play for pity and attention. I don’t see why she would purposely do something like that may result in a law suit and burn bridges with many people, but you’re entitled to your opinion. I just hope that she recovers soon and is able to get back to her normal self.
I am personally not bothered if it is media play or now…she is clearly unwell. Hope she recovers first and deals with the rest after. I will just wish her well first.

I personally gravitate towards dismissing the claim that she’s playing media games for her gains. She is not accused of or prosecuted for any serious crimes as some sneaky business CEOs would put on a show when wheel chaired out of courts or jails LMAO. There are no benefits for her to do so besides risking many negative consequences such as halting her commercial activities and projects or losing contracts. There were already a few people in the showbiz coming out to testify that she was publicly humiliated and beaten by her former boss a few years ago that might have caused her long-term stress and contributed to her breakdown nowadays.
