Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon in Talks for Second Chance at Love and Success K-drama My Golden Star
A new K-drama is being prepped and gives me Crash Course in Romance casting vibes. The drama is titled My Golden Star (or My Precious Star) and offers are out to Uhm Jung Hwa and Song Seung Heon as leads in a second chance story with romance and a career reboot of sorts. Uhm Jung Hwa will play the youngest best actress winner who gets into an accident on the night of her biggest win and finds herself 25 years later having a chance to reclaim her past glory. Song Seung Heon plays a detective who wanted love and marriage and never got it so now he’s past 40 and is the bachelor old timer on the squad. The two leads are definitely age appropriate Uhm Jung Hwa is 55 and remains Korea’s sexy noona and crazy enough Song Seung Heon is 48 now haha omg where did the time go! I hope the story is good and brings back old school Hallyu feels.
I like the sound of this pair – she was so good in romance and humour in Witch’s Romance, and I really enjoyed his comic timing in Black.
I love these 2 actors and even more so together! I hope they accept it!
Ohh I’m interested! Uhm Jung-hwa is always a pleasure to watch. Song Seung-heon is more of a mixed bag, but I always like him more in lighter fare.
I have loved and admired Song Seung Heon for such a long time and been a fan of his .. I’m glad they paired them together again.. I saw them both in my wonderful nightmare. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a great success for both of them. I wish them the best

I wouldn’t mind a reunion between him and Song Hyekyo. I saw a recent interview of hers where she says sometimes they still meet up in private and he’d play the Autumn in My Heart OST before she gets there and greet her with a “Eun Suh, are you here?” 🤣
