C-drama Love Beyond the Grave with Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Fei Yu Wraps Filming
I swear this drama seemed to be in production for at least half a year or longer for it to have just wrapped right now, or maybe I’m just misremembering since there was so much online hullabaloo when it first started what with ugly costume and makeup allegations and in fighting between the two leads fandom already. Good times, good times. Love Beyond the Grave with Dilraba Dilmurat and Chen Fei Yu announced the wrap of filming this week and released a large trove of character stills for the entire main cast. The second leads are Wei Zhe Ming and Zhang Li, and I spot other familiar faces like Gao Han and Baron Chen in the sprawling cast. While the makeup and costuming here is in that rather weird spot for xianxia dramas in neither too ornate but also not very unique or visually memorable, at least it is better than the first filming stills to come out especially of poor Dilraba. I don’t expect to see this drama air until second half of this year if not closer towards year end.
Baron Chen looking handsome despite his age. Makes me sad they don’t put him in main lead roles so we can immerse in his good looks with ease and him not having some tragic death or sidelined character.
They give him lead and y’all will start clutching your pearls about his FL being sooooo much younger and making you squirm.
True but still would love to see it happen just once. His age is what seems to be preventing this in my eyes lol or maybe he just does not want be main lead or he might be in a pickle like Jeremy Sui… who knows. But they have been doing this with older female leads as well. It would be a miracle if these days a female and male lead were similarly aged. Must be the silly billing issues.
you know there are age appropriate female leads out there too? Baron Chen is around the same age as Wallace Huo and Huang Xiaoming. He can get paired up with beautiful ladies like Zhu Zhu, Sun Li, Qin Lan, Jiang Xin, Liu Tao, Janine Chang, Bai Baihe, Gao Yuanyuan, Tong Liya, Tong Yao, Xin Zhilei. There are so many actresses to choose from in c-entertainment. They don’t have to be paired with babies with zero acting skills.
People were complaining initially about the faux kissing scene but were later proven wrong with a hot one.. Arthur Chen Fei Yu never disappointed me with this aspect. He can build chemistry with anyone, even a piece of wooden doll.
