Zhao Lu Si’s Agency Releases Formal Response of Dismay and Shock to Her Allegations of Mistreatment and Intends to Continue to Represent Her Well — 36 Comments

  1. And here you go. All of this is just a terrible attempt at pr by her before the airing of the new drama and the agency knows it or they would have reacted differently.

Zhao Lusi is destroying her reputation one day at a time and unless someone steps in and stops her, her career isn’t going to go anywhere but the dumpster.

  2. She really needs to get a lawyer and proper PR agency to draft out her statements. Her current statements aren’t reflecting well on her now, she’s being seen as actively trying to cause a ruckus and attempting to incite her fans into action against the agency. As far as I can remember from previous cases, the Chinese government doesn’t take kindly to celebrities trying to incite unrest.

      • @HL She assured her fans she’s okay and said the reason for her weibo posts is not to terminate her contract but to get her agency to contact her. Good thing she appeared calm there.

      • @HL when did wu lei support lusi? I remember watching her live and it was because someone commented a the past rumor in the comments about lusi using abusive language for wu lei (when they were filming love like a galaxy) she replied to that comment but there’s nothing from wu lei’s side as much I am aware of except his new brand ambassador announcement.

      • Wu Lei send her a message online to give her support. They are good colleagues in the industry and get on well.

      • I don’t see any weibo trending about wu lei supporting her and sending her message online. I think you mistook his fans message as wu lei message. There is no way wu lei won’t get trending in weibo if he really does it. Even lusi mention zeng li got trending, there’s no way wu lei won’t get trending if its true. Pls don’t spread false rumor coz the ones that will get scold will always lusi

    • I absolutely agree with having legal/PR counsel. I hope she sought advise from a lawyer ’cause dropping these statements against an entity she is legally contracted to and if it does not hold out in court, it’s gonna be an even more grueling process.

  3. I’ve friends in China and many of them are mad at her saying she has gone *crazily weird*, they really respect Yang mi and Xiao zhan as they both are quite real they both faced mistreatment but handled it maturely, Yang mi even said that if a celebrity is working in a millions then they need to bear the responsibilities that comes with that power and money. But here this grown adult I think she’s 27-28 years old is being a brat blaming every person but herself. Just leave the entertainment industry lusi recuperate well and make a comeback and if you can’t bear the burden then leave for all. There’s many other actors who’s at major disadvantages like those under jaywalk or Yu zheng. They’ve even worst than what she’s facing. Atleast she can call out her company in public all the time in the past she literally had her assistant assist her to wear her socks like the audacity of such celebrities, she also openly fought with the manager or some higherups. But artist don’t have such privileges and theye endure unfair wage distribution and have to wear, do the things their company ask them to.
So I’ve this question who’s exactly more pitiful her or the other celebrities?

      • On this site, owns and run by Koala, even if @TB dont like to read what @JanVillareal wrote, @JanVillareal is entitled to her/his opinion. If @TB dont like it, dont read it.

@JanVillareal, you bought up a number of good points. Thank you for your insight.

      • @TB
Why should I? You do you i will do mine. You Praise her i will criticize her even more. Why because I’ve seen so much of her nonsense lol she’s fake to the core. Her fans always see her in rose tinted glasses but not all people need glasses lol, people like me already have a perfect eyesight lol. Idk why the heck I’m using ‘lol too much 😂. Her fans are so damn funny lol, she’s earning millions playing her depressed persona and her fame who’s some either some random kiddo or else is tiring them out feeling bad for her. I really hope her fans are mentally okay lol. Her getting millions of views doesn’t mean people are on her but shows how much people love others melon (in China there is this saying ‘watching gossip while eating Melon seeds). Lol the public opinion about her is shifting as people are either getting bored of her crap already. Lol suddenly since the legal matters are approaching, she’s using every possible means to keep the public opinions on her side. Lol whenever I see her i always remember zheng shuang, lol she’s going to be like her for sure.
        Good news for her fans, your 27 years old baby lusi is under the radar of authorities already, let’s just wait for the good news then lol (;
Lol that underqualified exorcist didn’t do his job properly 🤣 😂

  4. Miss Koala is correct. Thanks Koala for highlighting Zhao Lu Si’s plight.

From the response, the agency’s intention is obvious. They don’t want to let go of Miss Golden Goose…

Before her collapse, I had been wondering about her hectic schedule. It’s very clear they are overworking her, until she is left with only bones.

They will continue to torture her into working insane hours. She needs to get very good lawyers to negotiate for better treatment if she couldn’t get out of the agency yet.

    • @HL, Sirey, K
Very surprised Wu Lei supports her.
      He is very reserved.
And for a star like him to support her goes to show her credibility. Too much of hate for Zhao Lusi.
She is just trying to stand up for her staff or team members..
      She deserves better.
Likely she resign with her agency two years ago was due to all the drama roles she had been made to accept.
Hope she comes out from this stronger than ever

      • Regardless what we read only about they negative working relationship. In her time of needs, he did sent his support for her online. That is good.

      • @HL, if they had not got along as rumor implied, why did WL bother to send an open message to support her? This is just very simple logic to tell which side of the story is credible. LOL. I think WL’s supportive gesture in times like these debunks the rumors. WL’s delusional fans or ZLS’ antis shouldn’t have wishful thinking that they are not on good terms.

  5. Her livestream today is asking her fans not to worry and take on her emotions on themselves. She wants everyone to be happy…
Looks like her more emotional state of mind yesterday is better today. She is calmer now.

      • I went and look for the livestream…
The noodles she was eating made me hungry. Then, I went and bought noodles for dinner… Lol.

  6. I believe her side of the story, rather than the mean comments saying she is delusional and making things up.
I hope she gets things sorted out, not filming is no big deal because health is more important.
I will be sure to watch Love Ambition if it ever airs, to show my support.

  7. I wonder what the company’s reasoning is for withdrawing money from personal studio’s account.

I liked seeing her in dramas and she has the charm and screen presence that makes her a pleasure to watch. Though ZLS is popular and I find it admirable (though foolhardy too given the industry and cultural context) that she’s speaking out, I’m a bit pessimistic she can change things, especially if she’s trying to use the court of public opinion, which is fickle and can be easily manipulated. I think past celebrities had to wait out the contract. Unfortunately, she has 5 years left.

With her mental state too, I wonder if she has people who aren’t giving her the best advice to handle the situation.

  8. Her agency must have been making a huge profits out of her work. The PR posting sent that strong signal. It’s like continue to milk cow even the cow is already irritated and kicked you in the face so many times. It’s humiliating. But they still stoop low and continue to milk cow on their knees. LOL. Otherwise, the company would have abandoned and sued her for breaching the contract if she had been worthless. It’s just that ZLS still has values for the agency to tap.

  9. I wish you Lusi well and hope she leaves the sadistic company soon. There was a comment above that said many celebrities suffer like her or even worst. Why should celebrities have to suffer— mental health — depression specially is associated with suicide which we have commonly seen in the entertainment industry. Doesn’t this mean that the entertainment industry should be more regulated to also protect celebrities?

I am glad that Lusi is being vocal about this. I bet this is also therapeutic for her mental health as I believe bottling up these emotions is worst for anxiety and depression.

May making these issues more vocal she is also helping other folks that are secretly suffering and hopefully the industry improves.

Regardless I wish her well and I believe she will be well even if not in the entertainment industry. She is such a strong queen that she deserves to be happy with whatever she does in the future.

  10. The issue with celebrities going online to air their grievances and personal disputes needs to be handled with care. What is your purpose in doing this publicly? You and the company are bound by a contract, not the fans or the general public. There’s nothing we, as outsiders, can truly do for you. We can judge, argue, and speculate, but none of that actually helps your situation.

If you truly have a case, then take legal action. Don’t just resign on impulse after claiming abuse or mistreatment. That only weakens your position and raises doubts. Handle it the right way.

The same applies to the K-pop group NewJeans. You can’t simply walk away citing “loss of trust” as your only reason. Publicly saying things like, “It’s like being forced back into an abusive relationship,” may gain sympathy, but at the end of the day, the contract still stands. If you want to resolve things properly and present both sides clearly, you need to go through the legal process.

There’s no such thing as a clean second chance once the relationship is broken. It was unwise for her to resign so suddenly, possibly due to mounting fees or pressure but it still reflects poorly. This new generation of idols and artists needs to settle serious issues in court, not in the court of public opinion. Going public without legal backing only gives the other party more room to counter your claims.

  11. Zhao Lusi said when she first got sick, her agency locked her in a hotel and did an exorcism instead of taking her to see a doctor. She was threatened that she’d be blacklisted if she doesn’t renew contract or ever speak on issues she has and continues to face. She was physically assaulted. She didn’t just go on a live suddenly, she waited for her agency to reach out to maintain her studio but got frustrated after hearing nothing back for months and instead losing most her staff. I don’t know why people think its okay to side with her agency on this. She got sick and they have been punishing her for it and mostly because she opened up about her past assault. I just want her out of the contract and happy. Speaking out about workplace grievances isn’t a sin. I’ll never side with corporations over the employees in situations like this.

    • Things are already online and they immediately took her hospital because the news spread like fire the evidence is still online. But her fans don’t like to confirm the rumor but would rather believe every damn thing she says. Physical assault is not just some random things you talk over, recently there’s this bl actor who was assaulted by his fellow teammates and his company that’s what the assault is and he immediately filed lawsuit against his company although he lost and still paying the penalty.
But you know what, I’m happy for you joing your lusi cult, enjoy your time lol.

  12. Do any of you know anything about Galaxy Cool, her agency? I cuss out Galaxy Cool regularly, because one of my favorite actors is with them, and they’ve got him stuck in nothing but short dramas for the last two years. My understanding, from their New Year’s picture, is that ZLS is THE only “star” they have. So I have to ask, WHY is this happening? You’d think they would be falling all over themselves to treat ZLS like royalty, given she is the only real star in their agency. Why would they be ghosting her for 8 months and not replying to her???

All that said, I don’t see them giving up ZLS. They will fight tooth and nail to keep her in the contract and working to make money. If she doesn’t do so, they will try and take every dime she has, because they are a business. I also don’t see ZLS going public in such a fashion as being helpful for her. She should have done this through lawyers. Even if she somehow gets out of the contract, I don’t think another agency or, more importantly, investors and platforms, are going to be eager to hire her. Which may be the best thing for her, if this career is so detrimental to her health.

  13. Her agency spent tons of money to train her in acting, dance, singing, modelling, fitness, yoga, interview skills, makeup skills, and then debuted her. Her first drama was a Yuzheng production and not a no-name show. In other words, they successfully made Lusi famous even though she had zero acting background, didn’t attend any reputable art school, and has to compete with a lot of other young actors.

Any court of law will deem that she’s been relatively well-treated by her agency and not severely mistreated. There are a lot of no-name actors nobody has ever heard of, including the lesser-known actors in Lusi’s agency, who aren’t complaining about mistreatment — even though their agency markets them poorly — simply because she’s a top star who has a lot of endorsement deals.

It’s very hard to prove you have been neglected or badly treated by your agency when there are videos of Lusi spitting gum into an assistant’s hand, and articles about her opening dessert shops or hanging out with her co-stars like Zeng Li. She obviously gets paid on time (her large mansion has been photographed before), is in possession of a lot of wealth such that she can open new businesses (i.e., her company isn’t taking all her money), has a lot of pets, and even markets them with her brand sponsors.

In general, it’s very hard to see exactly where she’s been treated poorly, given that many less famous actors are not complaining about getting only small roles. Just the fact that her agency made her one of the most popular actresses in her age group proves they gave her a lot of attention and investment.
