Kim Yoo Jung Goes Full Psycho in First Teaser for TVING K-drama Dear X with Kim Young Dae
Oh wow this is going to be 100% the Kim Yoo Jung show lol. And judging from the first teaser it’s going to be dark, intense, and quite a full image transformation for her from the usual sweet girl to a total sociopath social climber. The drama is called Dear X adapted from the same name webtoon and is slated to air later this year. She’s a top actress with a traumatic backstory who has climbed to the top through manipulation and using others, and with a devoted young man played by Kim Young Dae who loves her by her side. From the webtoon spoilers her character is legit willing to go to any extreme to get her way rather than the usual K-drama trope of looks like a baddie but is secretly a softy inside, so it’ll be interesting to see Kim Yoo Jung tackle this truly complex role.

Love her but I’ve dropped every drama where he’s the male lead. I just can’t with his stiff acting…he’s even worse than Cha Eun Woo was in My ID is Gangnam Beauty(Unlike him CEW has improved a lot).

KYJ has been lackluster for the past few years. The only two of her dramas I got to finish were Love in the Moonlight and barely Lovers of the Red Sky (heck abused “love” in the titles lol). This new drama looks intriguing. I hope she can pull off the baddie aura since she always looked very nice and gentle in all her dramas in the past. I’m fond of the ML. KYD did an impressive job in Shooting Stars and had sizzling chemistry with Lee Sung Kyung. At least, I don’t get bored staring at his handsome face in all other dramas. LOL.

KYD isnt the best actor but i have no problem watching him on my small screen. KYJ takes her career seriously. Trying so many roles since being an adult. Good for her.

Definitely looks intense and I always love seeing female lead characters be dark and villainous, so this is really up my alley! I have a soft spot for KYJ because of her child actress days but I haven’t watched any drama she’s in since Moonlight because most of them look like bad rom-coms or Wattpad-y like My Demon (I did watch 20th Century Girl tho). This looks great and I’m definitely tuning in. Hope the script don’t let us down! Not a fan of either male leads, but eh, they’re not the focus of the story anyway. Kudos to KYJ for trying out new stuff! Her styling has been so good too, since she transferred agency, really gives her looks justice.
