C-ent Rumor that Wang An Yu is Dropping Out of Wuxia C-drama A Journey to Glow with Yu Shu Xin Mere Days Before Shooting is Scheduled to Begin — 18 Comments

  1. Esther Yu’s family background is very problematic if you can read finance documents. Her father, Yu Pijie, acquired Shanghai Superconductor shares at just RMB 1.13 per share through Ningbo Senxin, while state-owned Xinsteel paid RMB 5 per share around the same time – a massive gap suggesting transfer of benefits and state asset loss. The IPO filings also downplayed RMB 4.3 billion in false capital contributions and fund withdrawals as mere “historical irregularities.” Yu’s family ties within Xinsteel had also raise suspicions and outright accusations of cronyism, and after relocating to Singapore in 2015, further concerns emerged over the origin and structuring of funds and evasion of corruption probes (Xinyu was under probe around that time). Meanwhile, her fanbase aggressively whitewashes these issues, often spreading malicious rumours and harassment against co-stars and harassed lawyers, media and random critics of hers, creating a toxic fandom culture.

  2. He is so meh for me in costume dramas and fares best in modern attire. Kind of hoping someone else takes the helm. I know many on this blog can’t stand her but I’m like not caring and hope it works out. Her dramas tend to be okay and watchable. If he stays it out. I hope they give him a decent wig.

  3. With a drama of this calibre and with this much hype I don’t see him dropping out but let’s wait and watch. Most of the rumors in this so called controversy feel like forced hate and nothing more. Not worth taking seriously.

    • Its a huge deal because it’s linked to corruption, she has lost almost 2 million followers across different social media already

      • It’s a smear campaign not a huge deal. She’s still getting brand offers left and right with multiple projects lined up. Jisoo of Blackpink also lost a large number of followers on her Instagram account recently. Doesn’t mean anything. Losing bot accounts anyways doesn’t qualify. And 2 million is nothing for someone with almost 40 million followers across different social media platforms. It’s not impacting her brand value.

    • Many Esther yu fans on this blog. Very quick to criticize other people’s rumors. Forgiving about moral when it comes to her. Yuck.

      • Why are you doing in between the ester yu fans bro. Just go comment below your favourite actress comments. People like are only making this kinds of fake news to watch downfall . But for her these the stepping stones 😡😡.

    • I have yet to see any real evidence of any of the allegations against Esther Yu, especially the bullying allegations. If simply calling someone a “spider spirit” can derail your entire career and cause 10 years of depression (the show they were on isnt even 10 years old), then she should probably avoid any work that requires contact with other people. It definitely feels like Zhang Haoyu is out to get attention. I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts livestreaming soon…

  4. Wang An Yu is a good friend of Zhao Lu Si…….I wonder who had been paying trolls to talk bad about ZLS, calling her green tea etc…

  5. I wouldn’t do the drama either with the way their government cancel stars and/or dramas. It’s a waste of time. Nobody is safe. I would be cautious too.

  6. So many C celebs including Esther Yu claim to have Weibo followers even way more than my fav’s number.🤣 Close to 40 million followers? Seriously? But they can’t get real brand names to sign endorsement deals with them. How the heck is this advertised popularity useful for? Only to get nugu commercials? LOL. More and more I believe Weibo makes up a lot of numbers, fame, and fairy tales. LOL. I only trust in what international brand names offer with the implication of authentic popularity cuz those companies are good at marketing, and certainly wouldn’t waste their advertisement money on someone who’s not worth the fake fame. Everything else could be bought except for acting chops. Soon, ppl will realize that many C actors are nothing but ham! LOL

    • After observing ysx’s controversy, I think her popularity is fake. It’s been said many times before that her fans are school kids which I think quite true. School kids means no purchasing power, that’s why she doesn’t have that many endorsement even after lgief last year. The news about her not renewing contract with her previous agency was only revealed recently, but from what I understand, her contract actually ended last year. Usually, when a celebrity’s contract ends, there will be lots of black materials released, but there’s almost none at that time. Then I found out about ?netease vs yuehua lawsuit because her albums bought by netease from yuehua couldn’t be sold.

Weibo plays a huge role in helping with her public image. Most of her black hot search won’t appear on main list despite how popular they are. I used to see her often on weibo hot search before, but not anymore after this scandal. A close friend of hers spoke up yesterday praising her and mentioned ysx helped with her business, then cnetz found out the shareholders for her friend’s company is/are related to weibo.

  7. I wont be able to blame him If he is really out… Ive been seeing so many chaotic posts on douban and weibo about her and her family’s doings.
Plus this will be another important take for him in costume dramaland. He was really good with first one with ZLS but writing sucked there also styling wasnt that good for his visuals…
