So this C-drama production has been in the works for some years but it’s a mega production with a serious history abiding bent (rather than the fun dramas the liberally play around with history) but word on the street is that it is for sure happening next year in 2026 and has the two male leads near confirmed. The drama is titled Han Dynasty Epic (Da Han Wu) and of course chronicles the exciting era of the Han dynasty with the most famous Emperor Wu of Han’s reign. Wu Lei will be playing General Huo Qu Bing with veteran Deng Chao as Emperor Wu. This casting is already so on point please don’t ruin in shoving idol actresses or rising pretty boy actors in supporting roles. The drama will be a CCTV production and is slated to be a two-parter.
