Kim Sung Cheol and Jin Ki Joo in Talks for Medical K-drama Sleeping Doctor
Oh I’m down with this unexpected and fresh K-drama pairing. Kim Sung Cheol and Jin Ki Joo are in talks for a new medical K-drama titled Sleeping Doctor (or Doctor Sleep) described as a healing drama. Both will play doctors, with her as someone who has experienced sexual assault and learned to overcome it, but is also plagued by narcolepsy which affects her presence before patients. He’s a new doctor to her practice with a confident sharp memory and together they deal with both interesting medical cases and help each other’s personal issues. The drama is slated to air later in 2026.

A doctor with narcolepsy? Is that even possible or safe for a doctor to well be a doctor with patients? This part to me just seems a bit unrealistic but it would not be the first Korean medical drama to have some weird quirk that does not add up to reality. Not fussing about it just curious.
