Upcoming C-dramas Release New Couple Posters for 2026 Lantern Festival Including Love Beyond the Grave, Tigers Sniff the Rose, Chasing Dreams, and More
The week is the celebration of the Lantern Festival in Chinese culture, the 15th new of the lunar new year. In commemoration, upcoming romance period C-dramas which are either done filming or still filming dropped new couple posters for fans. Included in the lot are Reborn of the Rightful, Love Beyond the Grave, A Ming Dynasty Adventure, Chasing Dreams, The Road to Glory, and Wish You All the Best. Check out the pretty posters and see if any pique your interest!

All the English titles of these dramas are not in line with their Chinese titles. I don’t know which is which. lol. I will check Li Yunrui’s, He Yu’s, and Chen Zheyuan’s dramas anyhow. Other actors have no much appeal to me.
None of the male actors here have been consistent in their acting abilities. And a couple of roles in which they have stood out are not enough for me when considering them good actors. LOL. I am not familiar with the actresses, except for Dilraba. I have only seen two productions with her: You Are My Glory and Sword Rose. I found her to be restricted in the first drama, but solid in the second.
Oh, I was forgetting Deng Enxi. She was nice in Hunting.
💯. I’ve generally had the tendency to explore their filmography when they’ve been memorable in a role, only to not get the same impression. They’re so-so. And this has been going on for years with the one-hit wonders in the acting realm.
I like their visuals so all I have to do is accept that they can be good, average, or bad at acting in different dramas and time periods.😅
In my opinion I look forward to the actresses performance more than the male leads. I know that a majority of them act well but the main male leads seem to lack that spark they once had. Hopefully they gain it through more experience. Otherwise it just feels same same every time which can make it dull and boring.
Dilraba has the looks for her character in Love Beyond the Grave, who is mentioned for having an exotic appearance trought the novel. But Chen Feiyu doesn’t give me the image of Duan Xu, he looks too boyish.
Yup. Dilraba looks more imposing than him in trailer so I hope he will be able to deliver a performance that serves as “camouflage”. Except for his work in L&P, I don’t have any favorable impression of him. Also, I generally don’t look at the performances in order to enjoy a drana, but for Love Beyond the Grave, I’m going to because the complexity of the characters is one of the reasons why I love the novel. And it will not be achieved with robotic performances and poor speech delivery. It takes vitality. LOL.

@SHAYELI act yourself then if you’re perfect
@Shayeli, Arthur Chen is a decent actor with potential. His best so far is still L&P IMO. But I found him also doing a good job in Love Story in the 1970s, the director of which is considered one of better PDs in C-ent. The director also directed Love’s Ambition, the surprising hit in 2025. Although I did not even finish one single ep. of LA and most likely am not going to finish LS1970 either lol, I do think the PD can deliver more interesting stories. LS1970 is one nice C period drama I’ve not seen for a long time. Last one I got to finish was the Youth Memories. But TYM is my fav’s drama. Therefore, my loyalty as a fan is a huge driver for me to finish TYM. lol.
@Somebody: I usually talk about potential when it comes to newbie actors or those whose filmography is mostly based on supporting/minor roles. But Chen Feiyu has been in the industry since 2010. He has had leading roles since 2017, almost a decade. His father is a respected filmmaker, so I naturally expected more from him. I haven’t seen Love Story in the 1970s yet, but Chen Feiyu has the disadvantage that most of his performances are so-so. It’s not bad if potential arrives late; it’s better than never but the balance will inevitably tip to one side. He fell short in When Destiny Brings the Demon, and if he’s doing a good job now in LS1970, it shows me that he’s inconsistent.
@Lau: But I am not an actor, nor do intend to live from it. LOL. And everyone is supposed to perform properly in their profession.
It’s sad – I don’t think i watched any long dramas since the start of this year (by long, i mean over 5 hours.) vertical dramas have really spoiled my attention span so much so that watching a normal drama now feels like too much commitment.
The only one to appeal to me so far is the one with Tian Xiawei and Zhang Linghe – their visual game is strong and some of the trailers have been so cute. I will tune in to watch, hopefully won’t disappoint me. I even tried love in the clouds, but find it… somewhat lackluster? Even though it had high praise and reviews. I’ll wait till more episodes are out with tian xi wei’s dramas before i watch
