Chapter 1 of Lost You Forever was good, wasn’t it? I was hooked before I knew it by how different Tong Hua chose to delve into what was billed as a majorly epic story. The novel has three volumes and volume 1 alone has 17 chapters so be patient as I try my best on the translations and pray my … Continue reading →
There is finally some major breaking news in Jung So Min‘s acting career and it couldn’t have come at a better time and in such a great potential project. Jung So Min has been confirmed to join the cast of Big Man with Kang Ji Hwan and Daniel Choi. She will be playing the younger sister to Daniel Choi’s character, … Continue reading →
What a lovely episode of Miss Korea, even if the sweet warmth accompanies a very tension-sapped episode that marks this drama’s turn towards the finish as a happy outing rather than a nail biting final push. I’ve long complained that K-dramas tend to drag out conflict until the end, then have the happily ever after be literally ten seconds and … Continue reading →
Running across a totally unexpected cameo is such a treat! Did anyone else know Yeon Woo Jin was making a much too brief appearance in You From Another Star episode 18? He plays the now dead eldest brother Lee Han Kyung and holy moly was it awesome. I’ve been a casual fan of Yeon Woo Jin since his turn as … Continue reading →
The nth drama adaptation of Return of the Condor Heroes (this one is going to have the 2014 year appended to it to distinguish it from the previous versions) is almost done filming and after four months I can say the long nightmare is wrapping to a close. Producer and troll Yu Zheng has been steadily releasing stills from the … Continue reading →
What has Hyun Bin been up to lately? Other than being inhumanely good looking, that is? He’s been out of the army for over a year and still he’s first acting project hasn’t hit the screens yet. It’s looking more and more likely that he’s going down the movie-exclusive route and I wouldn’t blame him for it. He chose as … Continue reading →
Why stick with a lackluster drama when there is an amazing book to be read. When a good novel comes along it’s hard to put down, when a great novel comes it’s impossible to not want to share. Last year right around this time I read C-novelist Tong Hua‘s Da Mo Yao (Ballad of the Desert) and fell promptly in … Continue reading →
With three more episodes left in Miss Korea, I have a feeling we’re headed towards a one-way exhilarating ride to the finish. There is no sign that Hyung Joon and Ji Young have even wavered in their commitment to each other, and are instead working towards paving a way to be together for the long run. MK has exceeded every … Continue reading →
Sometimes Taiwanese entertainment news articles are hilariously eye-opening. It’s a combination of a wry sense of humor in the questions asked and the TW-stars being game to answer candidly. The media was on the set of the currently filming TW-drama You Light Up My Star with Janine Chang and Joe Cheng as the production was filming a big scene. The … Continue reading →
KBS just just premiered it’s new Mon-Tues drama Full Sun (Beyond the Clouds) today and just like clockwork the casting is getting finalized for the follow up drama Big Man. I’m still a bit sad that the rom-com Mozart Romance got pulled from the line up, despite Prime Minister and I puttering to its conclusion I’m still in the mood … Continue reading →
At this rate, the OTP of Seung Nyang and Wang Yoo in Empress Ki are going down in K-drama history books as one of the most functional, understanding, resilient, and supportive couples ever to grace the screen. I feel like EK has shed the K-drama predilection for sappy romance and elevated to noble love that befits the station of the … Continue reading →
The first video preview is out for episode 14 of In A Good Way and it’s as full of angst and woe as anticipated. Liu Chuan stands at the center of the woe-storm but the ripples fan out and affect everyone who cares about him. Bai Xue and Liu Chuan’s awkwardness for the last few episodes might just get washed … Continue reading →
I can’t imagine there is any TW-drama viewer out there thinking it’ll be a great idea for Aaron Yan to pair up with Tia Li for a drama. Well, let me step back and say that I don’t know how it’s possible to even think it’s a great idea for Tia Li to keep acting in dramas in the first … Continue reading →
