In a real casting way and in a meta casting way, this is about as good as I can hope for with the drama adaptation of webtoon Remarried Empress coming along. This week there is news that Joo Ji Hoon is in talks to play Emperor Sovieshu, the male lead antagonist of the drama, or shall we say the BIGGEST … Continue reading →
I must’ve been under a rock the day that the first casting news came out because this second news only made me do not one but two double takes in quick succession. K-ent is reporting today that Lee Jong Seok has been offered the male lead Prince Heinrey (later Emperor) in period romance K-drama Remarried Empress, where Shin Mina is … Continue reading →
So the casting is starting to broaden from the first reports a few months ago with Lee Jong Seok has picked his next drama. It’s titled Seocho District (Seochodong) and he plays a lawyer in what is described as a legal drama with depth and growth. Seochodong is home to the largest concentration of law firms in Seoul hence the … Continue reading →
A new casting update from a big name K-drama actor as Lee Jong Seok may be signed on for his next project. Industry news says he’s in talks for the K-drama Seochodong (literal title) which is a legal drama. He will play a lawyer which he’s done before in both Big Mouse and While You Were Sleeping but those were … Continue reading →
So this was so long ago I forgot about it but it’s back in the news again. K-actor Lee Jong Seok was supposed to do Netflix romance drama See You Again with Kim Ji Won in 2018, and now an entertainment reporter is revealing that Lee Jong Seok dropped out of the drama the day before script reading was scheduled. … Continue reading →
Has it been 11 years already?!? Wow and also what an amazing walk down memory lane bringing back all the great feels from this drama. K-drama I Hear Your Voice was what catapulted screenwriter Park Hye Ryun to the big leagues, though she was already almost there with her prior drama before it Dream High. She has a very cohesive … Continue reading →
So one of the big fish free agents in K-ent has a new home and it’s a big land for Ace Factory. K-actor Lee Jong Seok signed with the agency this week joining Lee Joon Hyuk, Kim Ah Joong, Lee Shi Young, Yoo Jae Myung and others at the same home. I thought he would venture out and set up … Continue reading →
So this news is surprising but I won’t read too too much into it yet. K-net this week reported that both Lee Jong Seok and Go Min Si have declined the drama I am Against My Own Romance at the same time. The drama is from the PD of Descendants of the Sun and has pre production buzz due to … Continue reading →
I find Lee Jong Seok‘s career a very steady and more selective since he came back from military service in 2021. He used to do at least one K-drama if not two a year and that made sense since he was building and cementing his acting resume. Since discharge he did the successful thriller drama Big Mouse in 2022 and … Continue reading →
It’s a birthday celebration for Lee Jong Seok as he turned 34 years on today on September 14th. I can say 33 has been a great year him with hit drama Big Mouse and also going public with dating IU. He’s been in the industry so long I can’t believe he’s still on the younger side of his 30’s. I … Continue reading →
The occasional Korean manner leg picture comes my way and I always take note for my collection and for the chuckle. It never gets old as a moment when the camera pulls back and we see the proverbial wart, or widely splayed leg, behind the perfect facade presented by Korean entertainment. Returning stars from my first post on this topic … Continue reading →
I feel like the shock and awe of finding out top K-stars are dating/broke up wears off much faster nowadays compared to a decade ago when stars became more and more comfortably dating in public. News of top stars Lee Jong Seok and IU dating feels like so long ago but it’s actually just a few months and I’m still … Continue reading →
Hahaha, okay this is a cute update on K-actor Lee Jong Seok and honestly I’m a super fangirl but for some reason the speed round of news these days I legit forgot he’s dating IU despite that being mega news when it broke in January. Anyways, Lee Jong Seok was at a brand store event this week and K-netizens saw … Continue reading →
