After a few possible enlistment dates bandied about in the past year, it’s finally time to say auf wiedersehen to actor Lee Jong Seok who is confirmed to head to the military next week on March 8th. He’s leaving on a solid career note with the well-received tvN rom-com Romance is a Bonus Book, and having the chance to work with … Continue reading →
K-actor Lee Jong Seok‘s last few dramas were all with leading ladies I really liked with Pinocchio, W: Two Worlds, and While You Were Sleeping, hence my doubled desire to watch those dramas. With his most recent tvN Sat-Sun drama Romance is a Bonus Book, I’m so meh with Lee Na Young that I tried to hype myself up to … Continue reading →
I wasn’t rooting for this drama to succeed or fail, I just wanted it to be good and it looks like after the first episode it may just attain ratings success and be a good drama. tvN premiered book-centric rom-com Romance is a Bonus Book this Sat, taking over from the higher profile Memories of Alhambra which ended on a … Continue reading →
When I watched the long 5-minute preview for tvN Sat-Sun drama Romance is a Bonus Book (Romance Supplement), I got a weird sense of deja vu that I’ve seen this all before. It’s a bit like male lead Lee Jong Seok encountered in his last drama While You Were Sleeping, trying to place all the where did I see it … Continue reading →

The upcoming tvN drama Romance is a Bonus Book has a potential to be a total bibliophile’s wet dream. The first teaser certainly gave me shivers for how it lovingly frames the traditional booking binding with needle, thread, and press. Narrated by male lead Lee Jong Seok, thank god he has a good voice to match the dreamy book lover … Continue reading →
The first drama posters are out for tvN rom-com Romance is a Bonus Book (How to Publish Love), slated to premiere at the end of January 2019 in the Sat-Sun time slot after Memories of Alhambra. The current SBS Mon-Tues Drama Where Stars Land (Fox Star Bride) is doing decent in ratings and reception and the network will take a shot detour after the drama ends with a 3-episode special drama called Hymn of Death (Death Song) that looks period romantic and sadness guaranteed. Based on the real life of Korea’s first soprano pop songstress who … Continue reading →

It was a total win when normally it’s hard to even find one good fashion look among K-celebs. … Continue reading →
