Before we even get to episode 17 of Nice Guy, the long preview for episode 18 comes out already. Is KBS trying to cause mass hysteria, because congratulations are in order because it has succeeded. I watched this preview with abject shock on my face, and it took me literally minutes before I could fully digest what I had just watched and made enough sense out of it that I stopped silently screaming in my head. We all know that a wedding is coming up for Maru and Eun Gi based on the previews for episode 17, but thus far nothing has ever happened in this drama that followed a predictable trajectory, so clearly this wedding isn’t going to go off without some sort of hitch. I’ve discussed on Eun Gi regaining her memories not being a straight line towards revenge on Maru or Jae Hee, but more like she’s dealing with the shock and perhaps trying to gain control of her life by choosing to focus on the people who hurt her before. But that doesn’t mean she’s going to be relishing hurting them back, other than perhaps she is seeking some sort of emotional release. The sad part is that Maru would bend over backwards for her, and I wonder if Jae Hee wouldn’t mind handing off Tae San to Eun Gi if she promised to take care of Eun Seok and Jae Hee got Maru back. Too bad this drama doesn’t allow for easy answers and simple trades, and ultimately the actions done at an earlier time will have its commensurate reaction somewhere down the line, and that time looks like it’s here for Maru and Jae Hee. I don’t believe Eun Gi really has that much of a leg to stand on in terms of seeking revenge, but the story was never about black and white views of what happened and the people who did it.
The wedding between Maru and Eun Gi was called off on the day of the wedding when a bombshell news report comes out revealing the former romantic relationship of Maru and Jae Hee. Maru goes to see Jae Hee and claims he leaked the news, and his reason is that he only felt sorry for Eun Gi so he wanted to help her, whereas true love is what he felt for Jae Hee (parroting what she said to him earlier).
After Eun Gi moves out, Maru goes to her room and sits down in the dark, staring at the picture of them. Eun Gi moves back home with Jae Hee and Eun Seok. She finds out from Jae Hee that Maru admitted he leaked the news to call off the wedding. Eun Gi is shocked to hear this.
I am 100% sure this is Maru’s way of extricating himself from Eun Gi’s life once he realized she got her memory back. Prior to learning she regained her memory, he was happy to marry her because that was what he thought she really wanted. Once he learned she remembered everything and was hiding it and wanted to go along with the wedding, he probably realized she was seeking revenge on him and Jae Hee. Therefore it was time for him to walk away so Eun Gi can finally let go of him and move on. His speech to Jae Hee was a blatant lie and he used her words as the perfect excuse for his actions in calling off the wedding. This is my take and I’m going to sleep on it because the mere though that Maru only ever loved Jae Hee makes me want to gag.
So are you still predicting a Happy Ending Ms. Koala? I just wish that it’s the final week today! Since there are so much leaked for this week. it’d be nice to fast forward now so I could get some rest and not be a stalker!
at the end maru and eungi will being together. I hope LKH-Nim will do it.
although they can’t be together now but time will bring them being one.

To convoluted is really bad … if the writer had done all this in episode 12 I would have said way to go … but now overkill and as we have only three episodes to wrap up I think its strange at best … Wow … in awe this time …
On the wedding day i thot well they’re gonna get married, EG will discover tht MR is dying and expecting a snow-queen-kinda-ending but i should have known its not gonna be tht easy.. did i mention tht i was pretty sure tis time tht maaru was the one who leaked the info to the reporter and the writer fooled me this time.. cant wait for tomorrow let alone nxt week.. can we have all 4 episodes in a go please

Right now, I’m just crossing my fingers and praying that the writer knows what she’s doing… because if all this is covered in Episode 18, that leaves TWO episodes to resolve the relationship between Maru and Eun Gi, and deal with Jae Hee and Attorney Ahn’s roles in the Chairman’s death, and Maru’s hematoma, and…!

Totally intense am emotionally drained! too complicated thought process between Eungi and Maru. Maru’s voiceovers are giving me worries of what may become… getting sadder n sadder. Maru deserves to be happy too. Enjoying the roller coaster ride, I love Nice Guy drama. Thanks once again!

I’m sorry but I hate how Maru will lie again, doesn’t he know lying will only cause the worse? Before the car accident he lied and look what happened, if he lies again that he really doesn’t love EG but JH…..
I have not been as emotionally vested in this drama as I was in TK2H (due to my partiality for rom-com/drama) but I have to admit that the script writer has my admiration for continually raising the bar on unpredictable scenarios. Of course the actors are doing so well in portraying their characters. So how about a guessing the ending game, and let’s see how close we get to what the writer has.
1) EG will take over Tae San, JH and lawyer Ahn will have their come-uppance and go to jail for the death of the chairman, KM will die, EG will end up with the other lawyer.
2) EG will leave Tae San to be with KM, KM will have his brain surgery but will have amnesia, JH continues to manage Tae San, Lawyer Ahn will take the fall for the Chairman’s death (taking all the blame but shielding JH)
3) EG runs Tae San and hates KM, lawyer Ahn goes to jail with JH, Choco and Jae Gil will sell the new house for KM’s surgery, KM has amnesia, and JH after she’s released will end up taking care of KM at his old house.
4) EG runs Tae San, KM has his successful surgery, EG and KM are together, Lawyer Ahn and JH goes to jail, JH will live at KM’s old house after her release from jail.
You can choose one from the above or write another one.
I actually woke up this morning after thinking about NG the night before and realised that the writer is planning to do this:
1)Maru was the one who put the envelope on EG’s desk disclosing the fact that he was the other person involved in the car accident. Only Maru truly has EG’s interests at heart even when it means destroying the positive perception of who he is in EG’s mind. He knew that she needed to recover her memories quickly before the JH camp uses her memory loss to make her appear incompetent in the eyes of the Teason directors.
2) Knowing that EG has now recovered her memories, then the next step for Maru would be to fulfill EG’s wishes. That essentially means reclaiming what is rightfully hers: Teason. To return everything back to its original position and role, JH has to be REMOVED from the Teason picture. What better way to do this than to entice JH to leave on her own having Maru set himself up as her bait. Thus the speech about Maru himself being the informant of the scandal and going all this length just so to get JH back because he had never stopped loving her is nothing more than a sugar coated, rat trap (especially crafted for JH, the rat!)
3)Maru loves EG more than anything in his world. She is the dominant number one where Maru is concerned. He is willing and prepared to go all in, including sacrificing himself and his life to give her everything that is rightfully hers and which she so desires.
4)Maru intends to entice JH to leave Teason supposedly “for him” and then hide away to die quietly. EG supposedly would then “think” that Maru is truly the bad guy he portrays to be, he betrayed her running away with JH and never loved her for a moment from beginning right down to the very end. This thought will spare EG the guilt of causing bleeding in his head, the ultimate pain, regret and unspeakable saddness she will feel when Maru dies – at least this is what Maru would like to think.
5) EG as perceptive as she is will eventually come to notice the little, little signs and realise that everything (negative) with Maru is perhaps not what it originally seems. Hopefully it will not be too late.
Maru – you need to live a long and happy life!
EG – you need to live far, far better and happier than your dad who had nothing but distrust and loneliness.
6) Perhaps lawyer Ann will eliminate JH and then kill himself subsequently because he would have realised that he did so many bad deeds for a woman who never even had an inch of feelings for him. The two need to pay for the murders they have committed.
I also don’t believe that Maru loves Jae Hee at this point.. Like you said, is his way of letting Eun Gi go. I don’t necessarily think he needed to say that to JH though.
OH GEEZ! ONLY 2 more episodes left after EP18! I’m scare Maru might die!!!…or Lee Kyung Hee could go Sangdoo and Eunhwan style where they both get hit by a truck and then live happily ever after in heaven hahah i’m just kidding, but let’s all hope the ending will be satisfying whether happy or sad
I’m sure that jae gil is a key for eun gi and maru since he knows maru’s real feeling to eun gi and maru’s sickness. I think eventho jae gil tell eun gi that maru is dying now, it will be late for eun gi to realizes that maru is really dying because she thinks that everyone is lying to her.. sad 🙁 let see what ending will lee kyung hee gives to us..
I figured out WHY KM told JH that he leaked the article…
He did it so the EG can continue to play the role of the little girl lost with JH or lawyer Ahn…
That way she can find out the truth behind her fathers death and make the responsible parties pay for it all.. while reclaiming her place in in the company.

If you had watch from previous dramas all dramas had ended up with happy ending.
Story begins:
As everyone is talking meaning Jae Hee, Lawyer, Attorney, and Eungi in the room with Maru about what happen in the past. Maru will suddenly collapsed because of his sickness.
Eungi rushed to Maru and said, “I’m sorry, I really loved you.” Jae Hee will start crying on the lawyer’s shoulder. The attorney will call his relatives. When they take him to the hospital people will find out that he will have to get brain surgery and had lost some of his memory. Everyone was shocked and the one who cried the most is Eungi and Jae Hee. Coco and his friend will come rushing to the hospital and will Coco will go directly to Jae Hee, “You bastard my brother did everything for you and you betray him again.” Jae Hee didn’t speak. Eungi went to comfort Maru’s sister, “It’s ok.” Coco cries, then the doctor comes out. Doctor, “Maru’s surgery is a success, but he keeps saying Eungi,” Eungi went to see Maru and Jae Hee left with the Lawyer. Coco, friend, and Eungi went to see him. Maru held out a proposal ring for Eungi and she saw it. She took it and hugged Maru and said, “Sorry.”
Back outside the Lawyer and Jae Hee were talking.
Lawyer: Let go of Maru, you and him aren’t mean together, it’s Eungi and Maru not you. They both kiss.
1 year later

After one year Maru and Eungi is having an amazing married life Coco is very healthy. As for Jae Hee he had finally met a man that loves her back. The Lawyer had finally went to prison.
That is so bizarre. LOL, because then the ending would be so inconsistent from its previous episodes. I wouldn’t like it 🙁
Can someone possibly explain to me the written preview for episode 18??? Please Please Please 기억이 돌아와 마루와 재희에게 복수를 결심하는 은기. 은기를 사랑하게 되었지만 더 이상 다가설 수 없게 된 마루. 하지만 마루는 자신이 받을 상처보다 자신에게 가시를 세우고 있는 은기가 혹시라도 그 가시에 찔리지 않을까 더 걱정이 되고. 여전히 마루에 대한 집착을 버리지 못하는 재희가 더 이상 참을 수 없는 민영. 결국 그 동안 숨겨놨던 감정을 드러낸다. 은기는 준하와 함께 서회장의 죽음에 대해 차근차근 파헤쳐 가는데
My prediction: EG runs Tae San and KM, goes for the operation but he ends up in a coma.JG marries CC. JH and that lawyer cd go to anywhere i don’t care as long as they don’t get Taesan.. Ends with a shot of EG visiting KM at hospital.
Yeah, i like my drama sad and tragic (at least that’s better than Bad Guy ending. Till today i hate the actress who shot Kim Nam Gil LOL)
I don’t know what Eun Gi is thinking. Why is she giving her inheritance to Maru as well as her position in TaeSan? Is she giving Maru a second chance in life? She loves Maru unconditionally and she closed her eyes to all his faults. How can that be revenge? From her memory Maru wants Taesan and Jae Hee, and that what she’s giving Maru. It looks like that she will give everything in her power to get whatever what Maru wants, even it means leaving nothing to her/or even she’s not included in Maru’s life. And what will she do if she found out that Maru got hematoma, because of her suicide attempt? So many question.

I Thought that Eun Gi will continue the wedding then find out the true love from Maru. We’ll see what will happen next

So against my better judgement I pushed on and watch episode 18 .. ha ha ha… had a good laugh … not sure if the writer waging war on the script or end plot … so what is it .. will Maru sell his body once again to gain what was lost to Jae Hee through The company assets (selflessly)… And once the said assets are taken by EG hand will he go into surgery as if to wipe out all old memories and pray he dies so that he will not end of in his foes hand … I think Maru need to stop turning tricks and focus on being a good man instead of a master manipulate and con man … Who d hell will he con again … And Jae hee … she is beyond pathetic … she should be put down by another modern day Dr. Jacob “Jack” Kevorkian.. aka doctor death … I hope d other sexy lawyer Ahn lives and gets away scott free … because he sexy fuh days and waste of a good mastermind … If you ask me … my bets are all on him …
