Lego Lee and Chris Wang Get their Leading Ladies for Upcoming Friday Night SETTV Drama — 15 Comments

  1. This must be love. As soon as I read your headline, I was remembering my time with Lego in the library, out on treasure hunts, sleeping and staring…My love is back!!!

The girls seem cute. Please tell me they are good. Please tell me that. I want to watch this comfortably not wincing like with you know who…

    • *waving at Jomo* I miss our times together on those scooters, too! I am hoping this is good, but I don’t know if I have time to get sucked into the Lego Lee world again. It is so all consuming!

  2. My Heart hurts that Lego is not going to partner up with Kirsten. But I’m hoping that someday they will have another drama beside the Movie of In A Good Way. But I’m looking forward to this drama.

  3. I really enjoy this site a lot! I came here some time ago for some K-Drama, and have been sticking around! I’m starting to get more into Chinese and Taiwanese pop culture, and was wondering what sites people use for their Chinese entertainment? I’m going to be more seriously studying the language, and pop culture is definitely what makes studying more fun, and my Chinese stalls when I get bored. It’s a little tricky learning a language on your own as a stay at home mom with ADHD in the midwestern US. Fortunately for me, my husband is fluent in Mandarin, if rusty, and I do have some Chinese friends. My husband lived in Taiwan for two years, and we want to go live overseas here and there in the future, probably when our kids are grown.

Anyway, I’ve been able to watch a few things on Viki and Dramafever, but definitely appreciate recommendations for sites and shows and music!

    • For a start, I’m thinking you can try out some bubbly, easy-going fare:

Fated To Love You starring Ethan Ruan and this big boob lady (big hit in Taiwan)
Office Girls starring Roy Qiu and Alice Ke
Sunny Happiness starring Mike He and Janine Chang (my absolute favourite! also recapped on this site in English just in case you do not understand a scene)
The Fierce Wife starring Sonia Sui (less bubbly, but I got the kicks from seeing a stay home wife triumph on her cheating husband)

      • You mean this “big boob lady”? Ahahaha, you don’t like CQE much, do you?

It’s hilarious that Qiao En is always like “I’m more than a hot figure and pretty face” and then she drops last week’s FHM magazine spread where she’s only a hot figure and pretty face. I don’t know if that hairless cat is trying to guard her guns or escape from them.

      • Thanks for the drama recommendations! I think I’ll avoid FTLY, because I heard enough about the second lead and the melo turn and stuff when the Korean version was being buzzed about, and that stuff and I don’t get along too well. Office Girls I enjoyed a lot, but had to skip a lot of the second lead there. I’ll give Sunny Happiness a look-see and watch! The Fierce Wife doesn’t sound like my cup of tea, I personally have no tolerance for stories with adultery in them, however it’s portrayed or hinted at. I guess I’m really picky! I’ll try to start more shows, and just have that fast-forward button ready, and not watch any currently airing ones. 😉 Thanks! 🙂

      • Many thanks! That site is perfect! I’ll be sure to read back through your posts on different actors and shows, too!

    • Definitely In a Good Way, maybe Autumn’s Concerto, and I second Sunny Happiness.

I haven’t been watching as much recently, but some of my other favorites were Black and White, and My Lucky Star.

    • My top top tw dramas are:

The prince turns to frog (2005) (a classic must watch)
      My Queen (2009)
      Office Girls (2011)
The Way we were (2014) (Not too sure if this is going on my most fav list since it hasn’t finished airing it but so far it has been pretty solid for me)

    • Lol I am a little nervous about watching this…only because Inborn Pair really captured my heart. Okay more like Chris Wang! I Am afraid it will be so boring that I will quit in the middle.
