MBC Returns to Sageuks with First Romantic Wedding Still from Shine or Go Crazy
While the Wed-Thurs time slot will be a showdown between multiple personality plagued male leads, the Mon-Tues slot gets back to sageuk business for MBC after Pride and Prejudice wraps up. The first stills are out for the upcoming Shine or Go Crazy, the literal Korean title that sounds like a mouthful whatever the language. Starring Jang Hyuk, Oh Yeon Soo, Im Joo Hwan, and Honey Lee, I’m treading carefully with this one because while I love both males leads especially because of their previous sageuk successes, Chuno for Jang Hyuk and Tamra the Island for Im Joo Hwan, I’m really blah about the ladies here. With that said, seeing Jang Hyuk back in period costume during a wedding nigh scene with his lucky bride is super exciting especially since he’s rocking the more warrior prince look.

I dig his blue costume more… Somehow JH looks really awesome in it.

Well, that’s awkward because it seems I am the only one loving Oh Yeon Seo here lol. I think she is marvelous 🙂
I liked her in Unexpected You. She wasn’t amazing as the annoying and bratty sister in law but good enough to be recognized. And I gotta admit that I am a sucker for actresses getting bashed by fans of boyband’s members lol. Y’know, irrational hate bringin’ sympathy ? XD.
Whatever, she slayed me in Jang Bori is Here. I really didn’t expect much from this drama but her performance slayed me. She really had a great chemistry with Kim Ji Hoon but more than that, her chemistry with the child’s actress was amazing. She really played the role of the mother well despite being her first time. I loved when she claimed her love for her daughter over and over again especially when fighting with her adoptive mother. Even though Lee Yoo Ri is getting a lot of acclaims and praises for her performance in the drama too, I am still quite happy that she is getting recognition for her acting 😉
However, acting in a saegeuk has always seemed risqué to me lol. I hope she does well though.
Jang Hyuk and saegeuk. What do you want me to say ? I freakin’ loved him in Chuno and Tree with Deep Roots so of course I am all on board for this one. I gotta say I much prefer when he is on historical KDramas than modern ones XD. I don’t know why but he is just so charimastic and all. Y’know, even watching those stills makes my jaw dropping. He is just so awesome.
It reminds me that I have to watch TWDR again for his performance with Han Suk Gyu. Damn it, those two killed it ! And Real Men too. JH was such a badass that even his superiors couldn’t tell anything to him lol.
LOL jang hyuk hair-style in the first pic is the same as Ha Ji Won in Empress Ki and in the second batch is the same as Joo Jin Mo in EK. Well the two dramas are from MBC, so it’s no wonder LOOOL.
Rawr, I couldn’t get into Jang Hyuk’s character in Fated to love You, but I am always game for Jang Hyuk as a warrior.
Can’t wait to see Im Joo Hwan in saguek again. Tamra the Island is still one of my all-time favorites.
Did Honey Lee get a jaw shave? I have been sorta following her since her Miss Universe days, and the shape of her jaw seen to have changed drastically recently.
