Filming is long underway for the Chinese movie Go Lala Go!, the sequel to the hit movie of the same name based on a popular Chinese chick lit novel. It’s a different cast this time filled to the brim with award winning Taiwan acting talent, with Ariel Lin as the titular office girl Lala trying to balance work and love, Vic Zhou as her long time boyfriend who is on the verge of proposing, Bolin Chen as the new man making a play for Lala’s heart, and now a fourth name floats to the surface as Michelle Chen makes it a love square as she tries to lure Vic away from Ariel.
I find the casting so meta taking into account the previous onscreen couplings of the four leads. Ariel and Bolin were famously the OTP in In Time With You, and in the same vein Zai Zai and Michelle did the drama Wish to See You Again. While this is the first time Ariel and Zai Zai are working oncreen together, to have their interlopers played by former costars will make it even harder to choose. Also joining the cast is After School‘s Nana who continues her foray into Chinese entertainment following her acting turn in Love Through a Millennium, the C-remake of Queen In Hyun’s Man. Both ladies are on set already filming their scenes so check out the first peek below.
a must watch!!!! wow, vic’s hair, haha.. it has been a long time since the last time i watched him! 🙂
off topic but will you be recapping High Society, Miss Koala?
Lol…another option to the menu. I quiet like Michelle and think she’s got a very easy going presence on film, I wonder if the lovers in love will get together.
With all this star power, why can’t they do a drama instead!
Oh my gosh! I love both Ariel and Bolin, Vic and Michelle in their old films! And now the fresh pairing Ariel and Vic with the other two as rivals! This love square is too OP!
Whoa, this gives a flashback to the good old days, when Michelle just debuted in Rainie dramas. Rainie and Ariel are best friends in real life, so it’s an awesome coincidence. Kinda missed Rainie’s cheesy dramas now.
Isn’t Nana supposed to play an interloper, too?
bring it on 🙂
Wow, great combi of the rival.. Ariel Lin with Michelle Chen and Chen Bolin with Vic Chow.. A must watch movie, thumbs up ^_~
