Things are still looking up for Lee Young Ae‘s acting comeback after over a decade away from the screens, but this is one comeback that may have benefited more from the live shoot process than the current trend towards pre-production. SBS scooped up Saimdang: Light’s Diary and eagerly slotted it for a fall airing this October, but due to the summer scrimmage between South Korea and China over THAAD, the airing of Saimdang has now been pushed back to early 2017 in hopes that the drama will get Chinese airing approval so it can be simulcast as intended. I feel like this lull between the excitement when Lee Young Ae announced her comeback late last year to when the drama will broadcast has simmered down the anticipation. At least SBS has done a good job of doling out the goodies, the latest character posters of leads Lee Young Ae and Song Seung Heon trade the darkness of the first set of posters for halo-esque light that turns Lee Young Ae into a hanbok madonna.
Koala – I want soooo much to look forward to this, but I am afraid. Very afraid.
It will be beautiful, and sweeping, and heart swelling, and, then, he will be there and I will LOVE him, until he speaks…and I will sigh…and drop my head in resignation that he is what he is and not yet better…again…
WHY DOESN’T HE JUST DO ROMCOMS?
Your last sentence= EVERYTHING!
Looking exquisite and beautiful. I’m not sure my poor heart can take it or not.
Expecting that it would be much better if it is Ji Jin Hee but that would be Jewel In The Palace 2.0.
They should just broadcast the drama. Would China really back down and allow them to simulcast at the same time? – Highly unlikely.
I like both the actor and the actress. I am just hopping the story will be captivating.
Hanbok Madonna, lol.
