Court Makes Final Sentence of 5 Years for Jung Joon Young and 2 Years 6 Months for Choi Jung Hoon in Aggravated Rape and Assault Charges
Good riddance, I hope never to see these two douchbags ever again in the public light. The Seoul court has handed down the final prison sentences for convicted rapist and sexual assault due of Jung Joon Young and Choi Jung Hoon. Maybe they can start a band in jail to entertain fellow inmates. The two were convicted of aggravated rape, sexual assault, and sharing pictures of incapacitated or unknowing women in sexual explicit positions in a chat room. Their original sentences were a bit longer but reduced due to ameliorating circumstances such as settlement with the victim and acceptance of their guilt. Now it’s off to jail and let this be a lesson that the fame that got them easy access to unsuspecting women proved to be their downfall when they hurt those women like they were objects and not fellow human beings.
If it was outside of South Korea like US or Australia they would have got 25 years..Not being of the country am I missing something here? S.Korea has many acheivments it can boast about but sadly their justice system is not one of them in my opinion…Not a good look this sentence.
Totally agree with u. The sentence is way too short. The korean legal system seems to be extra lenient and forgiving on sexual perpetrators.

I agree..In my country, punishment for rape is up to 20 years with several cane strokes bundled in together.
Why is seungri not jailed tho?
Seungri is in the military and his issues, which seem to be more related to business/prostitution stuff, are being dealt with by the military court. I do not think he was tied to any assault but others might know better.

I don’t know if fame was their downfall or being stupid enough to take a broken cell phone to someone who fixed it and turned em in. These guys are done.
