I came across this recent fashion pictorial with TW-actress Tiffany Ann Hsu and was really taken. She’s an incredibly beautiful woman and I have really enjoyed her vastly improved acting over the years, but what I love about this pictorial is that is really captures the emotional anxiety people have been feeling in 2020. At times balancing so much change and scary things around us, other times feeling like we’re falling and there is no bottom in sight and definitely no safety net. It’s like 2020 launched us not into a new decade only but into a new normal. For Tiffany it’s also been a personally painful year with the untimely death of one of her best friends since high school the singer-actor Alien Huang. I hope through art, whether as the performer or for us as the viewers, it continues to being comfort and resonance.
