The promos for River Where the Moon Rises has early on focused on the young leads Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo but a good sageuk needs the entire cast to rock and roll in order to work and I’m betting that second leads Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Yu Hwa are up to the task because holy do they look great in character. Lee Ji Hoon first caught my eye as Lee Min Ho’s maybe ok step brother who later is super duper evil turns out but he was so good at playing the entire spectrum and holding his own in a drama full of big name leads. He did the same as the mentally ill ex-boyfriend in Dinner Mate and honestly if all he does is play evil I’m fine because he’s so good at commanding the screen that I just enjoy watching him. It doesn’t hurt that he looks so fiiiiine in sageuk garb, the general battle attire and the casual gentleman wear. Second female lead Choi Yu Hwa is also catching my eye, the production made her look slightly witchy with her hair and darker outfits but she radiates confidence and I love that.
